...which they only won because of the MLS conspiracy to keep DC United from winning it again.

Which was allocated a slot because of an underwhelming lack of response from the other nations and regions.

How about providing a link to an article backing this statement up?

Of course there is a faction within FIFA that wants the US to succeed, if only because of the potential of the relatively untapped market.. Otherwise we would not have gotten the World Cup in 1994. There are other factions within FIFA, including those who despise the US and don't want us to succeed in spite of the money. The anti US faction held sway when the 1986 Cup was awarded (Kissinger publicly humiliated because FIFA announced Mexcio had gotten the Cup while Kissinger was still giving the presentation). In 1994 we got a different result.
The French don't want us in this tournament and there are others who agree. So we get Cameroun after we were told we would be in the same pot as Cameroun. In my opinion, this draw was rigged, just like the the World Cup.

There are all kinds of reasons French don't like Americans at least at a certain level. I don't think I am breaking any new ground by making this observation. Security concerns are a new and independent reason to avoid playing the US if possible.

You have such a twisted mind, why don't you bring facts to the table.

I can't find the article I originally saw if I remember on the Soccernet website. The theme of which was that FIFA were having a hard time finding European based club teams to participate in the second incarnation of the World Club Championship (since most leagues didn't wish to participate, especially England and Spain - both of whom were still upset at the previous year. Mainly the English FA who were peeved at United from pulling out of the FA Cup to participate in a FIFA money grubbing scheme). The second incarnation was therefore going to allow access to less nations (i.e., CONCACAF, since the more prestigious Mexican teams were already participating in CONMEBOL's Libertadores Cup. This is why when the Galaxy were annointed CONCACAF champions, a title they rightly won, they were awarded a spot in the World Club Championship to be held (does anyone remember - wasn't it in the Middle East or Asia, somewhere that would be starving for some teams to come there, especially in one from their nation/region was involved).

Even though Paris is one of the most politcally charged areas (regadless of American involvement)in all of the world?

The second WCC was going to be held in Spain. Necaxa got in the first one since they were the CONCACAF champs.
