Does anyone know if ESPN will broadcast the Confed Cup or the gold cup this next summer??? I know its early, but i just wanted to know if anything was planned for that or PPV
I have heard that SUM owns the Confederations Cup rights so the games may well be on the Mouse family.
When did SUM pick them up? Not as part of the World Cup rights package. That was for the 2002 World Cup, the 2003 Women's World Cup and the 2006 World Cup. Expect to watch the Confed Cup on Univision. Sachin
Univision was bought by NBC and care about soccer, not sure if they have any kind of contract w/ team USA.
Re: Re: Confederations Cup On ESPN???? Galavision is available on cable or satellite. It's not an over the air station.
Re: Re: Confederations Cup On ESPN???? On the left there's a direct link to Galavision's site. Maybe it can tell you where.. http://www.cisneros.com/company/galavision.asp
Re: Re: Re: Confederations Cup On ESPN???? Cablevision in adding Galavision this month if you switch over to digital cable from analog (which, BTW, they are pushing very hard for)
ESPN is run by drunk monkeys. Since its' smack dab in hot summer time, every game in the Confederations Cup kicks off in the evening. The earliest start is 6 pm, all others are at 7 or 9. Tack on the six or seven hour time difference for American viewers, and these games are being shown in the extremely lucrative wee hours international summer soccer fan slot. This is an international tournament featuring the first and third place finishers from the 2002 World Cup, a possible rematch of France '98--in France again--and a chance for the USA to prove it is truly among the best in the world and that 2002 wasn't a fluke. But perhaps ESPN wishes to show some lumberjack competition or fishing or something.
my apologies, i keep forgetting who is goin, i thought it was only Brazil.... however Univision usually only shows Mexico games, ive never seen a CONMEBOL qualifer on there
I hate my cable company more and more every moment I am alive. We have no Univision, Galavision, or Telemundo.
