I hope I'm posting this in the right forum.

Anyway, I'm a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer currently serving in South Africa. Me and a number of my fellow volunteers use soccer clubs as effective mentoring organizations to teach important life skills and to reduce both the spread and stigma of HIV. My question for the BigSoccer community is, can you suggest a few quality contacts for me at U.S. Soccer? I'd like to write them a letter, on behalf of PC volunteers in SA, asking if it might be possible to donate a few Confederations Cup tickets to us. Not only would we love to show up and bolster the US support in the stands (but can't afford ticket prices as Peace Corps volunteers), we would love to take some of the children that we work with to an incredible event that they would otherwise have no opportunity to experience.

If anyone here can put me in touch with the right people at U.S. Soccer, I'd be forever grateful.

I was just looking at ussoccer.com and it doesn't look like there is an intuitive starting point for your request. You may want to start with the Confederations Cup organizers and if they can't help you directly, perhaps they can point you towards the right people in the USSF.

    I hope this helps.

Intuitive starting point? This link will allow you to contact US Soccer:

I was hoping that there was something more direct than "General Inquiries".

A little more searching turned up this: "Points of Contact For Service Areas Within U.S. Soccer" (Federation Services -> Resource Center).

    http://images.ussoccer.com/Documents/cms/ussf/USSF website contact list.pdf

It looks like you want Grace Kim, USSF Event Ticketing Information, gkim@ussoccer.org.

How did this turn out? The United States' first two matches were in a 50,000-seat stadium and drew roughly 35,000 and 40,000 people respectively. Was the USSF or FIFA able to help out at all?
