Second disciplining part was in the stands last weekend. I can't think of a dumber thing than few people yelling "I won't sing" in middle of BBB kop. Well maybe walking through Harlem with KKK costume would be a close second :D

6:1 final, I can't wait to see pics, there was lotsa stuff prepared for this one :) Who said soccer is low scoring game hehe

lol it's suny Zagreb and then 4 cities we're playing in Cup UEFA with rainy weather.. I'm sure there's a punchline, but it looks like banner with it is curling up so not sure what it is till I get better pics :D

And apparently Beveren supporters couldn't find it on a map since only few hundred of them came (and I'm not even sure of that :) )

Hey BBB, that is a bit like what I was trying to describe as an idea for "augmenting" the paper choreograph:

    ..Section 133..........Section 134..........Section 135.........Section 136

    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |........BIG A$$ BARRA DC FLAG...........|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]
    [][][][][][][][][] |..................................................|[][][][][][][][][][]

So, basically, papers on the outside sections, big ass flag on the inside main SE/BB sections. You could still do "D" on the left and "C" on the right. We would need a few more volunteers to pull this off, but I'm confident that it can be done.

And yes, I know just how geeky the ASCII picture crap is...

I was thinking about flags, actually my preference would be to do D and C as 2 flags so it can be seen easier than papers, problem is that those flags in pictures look like that because they're held up, in America for some reason people punch and pull flag whichever way like a ref walked into a section heheh (I guess we have other means to work out agression elsewhere :D )

this is flatest I've ever seen it and you can't really tell what it says (flat sections don't really help either)

Granted, it is a pretty "flat" grade in the section, but that picture is from ground-level. From everywhere else in the stadium except rows 1-5, this looks great. I still would like to suggest that we try to do something spanning all four of the filled section for Saturday, such as my suggestion above. My logic is that even though it's great for the team and benches to catch the view, we're really doing it to get the rest of the crowd into it and for the effect on TV. From their views, trust me, the flag looks great. On TV it's very impressive. Hence, with augmenting the sections on either side, that whole four sections is making an impressive show all at once.

The most common thing people said while holding up the papers around me was "what are we doing again?" I think if they look to their side and see the flag overhead of the 134/135 sections then you've got a ready made answer: "we're doing what they're doing...nice."

That's my two. It's your show, and a good one. So, please take this comments as the constructive suggestions I intend them. At the end of the day, you're my new hero Srdan!

    Cheers,
    Tim

actually pic is from second highest walkway on quiet side, so about 2/3 up lower bowl, I just have good zoom. I'm gonna try to get cam person on upper level if I can on Saturday. I definitelly see your point and I do think it's a safer bet to do flag in middle since that is familiar but then we're not really doing any different than what we normally do (I still think D C thing has about 0.1% chance of working LOL).

I agree it's not really for players (it would be if we could get people on stadium before match starts but gotta work with what you have). But it looks cool and helps build that famous DC atmosphere and if we pull it off it will be best one so far in US in my opinion (right now section 8 is in first place and then there... well noone else really)

That's exactly what I expect, that's why I wanted to start easy. Mosaic sounds like easy concept to grasp but it really isn't when you get a paper and some dude is saying um can you lift it in 30th minute hehe. I tried to spread some fliers before match (and I will try to find time to write some tomorrow), I think if we keep up at it it will become more familiar. I so wish pics didn't come out blury cos then I people could see how we look like. I don't think it really sinks in from watching other groups do it till you see our groups in our stadium pull it off. I really believe that once we have a nice crisp picture of our mosaic that looks good it will be much easier. I would imagine big flags didn't really make sense either but now they're pretty common on American stadiums (ok that one might have been easier in DC since large flags are main staple of South American groups). Dunno, did long spray painted 1 game signs make a lot of sense on September 10th? :p

If they get the whole picture but still wonder why we do it then I really don't have answer. It would be in same category as why sing, why drum, why have banners, why wave flags.

Papers will bleed into 133 and 136, maybe 50-75 into each, I got 400 (plus few I saved from last game) I'm just on a limited budget here and those things add up when you move into 100s hehe ;)

And constructive suggestions is what it's all about, keep it comin [IMG]

back to working on Jaime banner, wish rain would stop so I can spray it...

I'm afraid we're gonna get our asses handed to us at home from objectively stronger team, but this is our only chance to stay in running for final 16.

    Thanks for tip Pints!

Only good thing is that this current set of player sissies only play good vs Euro teams so they can be seen and sell themselves better :) They don't have 1% of DCU fighting spirit.

Their supporters, Undertakers, used to be pretty good urban group, I'm taping it to see how they're now.

game started... still loud fvcks. Hope BBB are louder next game :D

I watched both games. I liked how the Partizan supporters had a section named Alcatraz.
