It really delights me to see the metrobulls stinking up the joint. That is normal for them, but this team is really something special. They are truly a sight to behold. I wonder if every single night Conde says, "Gracias a Dios" for the fire not trading him to New Jersey. Anyone read Mike Aman's comments about Osorio? Pretty funny stuff.
I had the Galaxy Red Bull game on last night and they started talking about a 2nd DP that JCO wanted to bring in (filling the DP spot opened by Reyna, I guess). They said that JCO was looking for a DP defender and rattled off a list of about 3 names. Then they said 'and Conde'. Pretty sure he is not available to NYRB.
Is it true that JCO got his start as the fitness coach for the Metrostars, then went to Manchester City?
Isn't Conde out of contract after this season? He could go anywhere after that. Of course, the chances of JCO being RBNY's coach after this season seem pretty slim right now, so they won't be a desirable option for Conde.
Anywhere else in the world, yes. But if NY wants him we retain his league rights, so they'd still have to deal with us. Like when Pickens came back to Colorado, we had to deal his rights even though he was out of contract.
Chivas traded the slot for 5 years, meaning they don't get it back until the 2012 season. It was a really, really bad trade for Bob Bradley.
It was my understanding that DP slots revert back to the orginal team after 2 years. I could be wrong, but for some reason I am thinking that is the case.
Well, the DP rule is being looked again at the end of the season, so perhaps the Board of Governors make a change to encourage its use.
Wait a minute. Is that how MLS contracts work? We own his MLS rights forever (or even a certain number of years)? Even if he's out of contract? I knew that was the case in the case of certain players, but I didn't realize that was a universal rule in MLS.
