********ing piece of shit Blazer. I do not buy his fixture congestion crap, since when is CONCACRAP looking out for Mexican football or the regions football for that matter? Surely he just wants more money from Mexican clubs participating in CONMEBOL tournaments.
We need to get the hell out of CONCACAF already and join CONMEBOL, although both confederations are disastrous administratively speaking, CONMEBOL at least has decent football.

Conmebol and Concacaf should merge. It will benefit the entire region. Not fair for USA and Mexico to get stuck with playing bad quality teams for 3 years and only get a crack at the good teams (competitively) every 4 years. If I was Conmebol I'd do everything possible for this not to happen though.

    (I come in peace)

It would be awesome, and it was about to happen some years ago. They used to call ex-concacaf, because it was about to disappear.

It will not happen, specially with the USA so hungry to succeed, even if it's in one of the weakest confederations.

How exactly will a merger between Conmebol and Concacaf help countries like Canada, Jamaica, El Salvador? Wouldn't they just become minnows instead of being countries that have a chance of qualfiying for the world cup?

That's because we don't give a shit about Jamaica, Canada or El Salvador. Those countries aren't helping us, why should we help them??? All they give us is crappy referees.

Since when did this becomee a socialist cause. As far as I know those countries have no business being in the competition every four years realistically speaking. Mexico and the U.S would greatly benefit from playing Conmebol teams instead of this Concacaf minnow teams.

i don't think CONCACAF will merge into CONMEBOL, unless the administrative policies are changed within CONCACAF or FIFA steps in. CONCACAF is a conference that is run by the minnows. mexico and the US are constantly out voted, and their voices will never dominate the conference unless FIFA steps in. why would the minnow countries basically vote themselves out of a chance to compete in the world cup?

if it was up to the US and mexico, i am 100% sure it would happen . . . but bottom line is, it isn't up to the US and mexico.

i say to hell with it and the US and mexico should withdraw from CONCACAF and petition to join CONMEBOL, and try to bring their two world cup slots with them; after that CONCACAF would collapse.

i think costa rica would benefit from staying in a CONCACAF without mexico and the US . . . as they would be the last man standing and get a WC bid probably 75% of the time. with regard to panama, i honestly don't see them as any better than the 7th best team in the conference (behind mexico, US, T&T, jamica, costa rica, and honduras).

once you get past the US and mexico, i really don't think any of the remaining teams would want to join CONMEBOL. is costa rica good enough? i think yes, but why leave CONCACAF? a CONCACAF conference withiout the US and mexico is costa rica's to own.

When has the USSF ever voted against what Warner wants or for that matter when did they ever vote against his reelection?

Both CONCACAF and CONMEBOL should join and have several diffrent tournaments. All 10 countries in south america, mexico, and the U.S. should have teams in a 32 team champions league and libertadores cup. They should change the copa sudamericana to another name. It doesn't make sense for a north american team to play in a tournament called la sudamericana.Thats like if mexico played in the euro cup. Basically 3 32 team tournaments. Central america and the carribean teams should play in their own small tournaments. Call the them the carribean cup or something.

MLS teams can't even beat Carribean and Central American teams, why should they get to play in the Libertadores?

i don't know that voting data has ever been released. what i do know is warner is constantly screwing up everything the USSF wants to do, so i really doubt that the USSF supports warner.

regarding MLS and copa libertadores . . . if the MLS is let in, it will only be because of american viewing money. currently there is no contract (that i am aware of) for broadcasting libertadores in the US in english. adding the MLS to that will potentially allow for a contract of this nature.

Oh yes it is and the USSF has always voted for him.

    Warner keeps CONCACAF top job

The two that voted for Codesal were Mexico and El Salvador. After that Mexico decieded that the best thing would be to kiss Warners ass like the USSF does.

Sooner or later i see the Concacaf and Conmbol, at least club competitions combining, and being a REAL Champions League. How so? I dunno, but i could see this happening.
