WWWaaaooo, that list is really a good one. Jorge Campos got more points than Brad Friedel. Campos never played abroad aside from MLS. Friedel is superstar goalkeeper in the English Premier League. Life goes one.
LOL!!! LOL CHICOLOCO. They are talking about the past century (XX), Friedel still have some good things to give, while Campos is almost in his retirement. Anyway, you didn't like to Keller ahead Campos?
Where is Enrique Borja? or Luis Garcia? or Claudio Suarez? or Alfredo Tena? OR Cuauhtemoc Blanco for that matter? I cant believe Magico Gonzales is below Dely Vladez. I am also surprised Hernan Medford is not on that list.
This list is a joke. Dely Valdez just started and they are a bunch who dont deserve to be there. Plus, where is Claudio Reyna and Luis Garcia who played for Real Madrid and many Mexican clubs?
Luis Garcia played for Atletico Madrid not Real Madrid. Cluadio Reyna is a player that got better towards the end of the century. He wasnt real impressive in 94 and started coming around after 98. You really cant use his merits after 1999 to determine his place in these rankings. I would even put Harkes in front of Reyna (considering these are suppose to be rankings from the last century Granted these rankings are somewhat wierd. I am just surprised Enrique Borja and Luis Garcia arent on there. Claudio Suarez should be on there. Most international Caps by any player. Numerous Copa Americas, Gold Cups, World CUps, Copa COnfederaciones. Was an iron man in the Mexican league for many years.
Friedel and Reyna aren't among CONCACAF's best for the 20th century. Reyna took until 1999 or thereabouts to come into his own as a star player and even then a vocal group of people here on BigSoccer claimed he wasn't good enough for the nats as recently as early 2001. Friedel really wasn't a big star until he signed with Blackburn, which was in 2000 IIRC. Both have good chances to be among CONCACAF's great players of the 21st century though...
A Brilliant attacking midfielder, probably the best Canadian player ever. http://www.whitecapssoccer.com/news/dec122001.html
cual century? 21 o siglo 20 en el pasado siglo: nadie tiene mas galardones y plata que HUGO SANCHEZ no question about that.... then D yorke came a mile close.
About Hugo being #1 I don't have any complaints, neither with the 6 Mexicans in the top ten, I mean, which was the most succesful Concacaf nation of the 20th century? Dely Valdez international career started in the late 80's in Nacional of Uruguay and has played for over a decade in Europe, he's just having a renaissance nowadays in Malaga. He must be well over his 30's.
