Lletget is more productive from the run of play than Green and a bit better of a passer a bit more ball secure but also weak against the ball. Roldan similar on those first two but is about as turnover prone as Green but a better defender. He probably has the best pace of the three. All three are low on the depth chart but Roldan and Lletget more neatly fill run of play roles while Green would need to be the set piece specialist to pencil out in any semi-realistic way. Green is like a less athletic Graham Zusi.
People do understand that our listed midfielders for Copa America were in top 5 leagues except for one. And Tillman played on a team that made the knockout round of the Champions League. MIDFIELDERS (7): 4-Tyler Adams (Bournemouth/ENG; 39/2), 15-Johnny Cardoso (Real Betis/ESP; 13/0), 14-Luca de la Torre (Celta Vigo/ESP; 21/0), 8-Weston McKennie (Juventus/ITA; 53/11), 6-Yunus Musah (AC Milan; ITA; 37/0), 7-Gio Reyna (Nottingham Forest/ENG; 28/8), 17-Malik Tillman (PSV Eindhoven/NED; 11/0) And that doesn't include guys like Tessmann and Busio, now in top 5 leagues. Lennard Maloney plays in the Bundesliga and can't get into our central midfield. We will occasionally dip into lesser leagues, but that's to bring in younger and developing players we hope have a higher ceiling than the 30 year old playing against FC Magdeberg and Preußen Münster in Bundesliga 2. Fair? Maybe not. Reality? Unquestionably. To me it feels like the people who still bring up John Anthony Brooks. How much evidence do people need that these guys aren't part of the plan???????
Josh Sargent is second only to Daryl Dike among US forwards when it comes to not being able to stay uninjured 🚨 Josh Sargent has sustained a groin injury that's expected to keep him out until after the international break. 🏥 [@SamSeaman8] pic.twitter.com/rW45VHWdIj— USMNT Otaku 🇺🇸 (@USMNTOtaku) November 2, 2024
Campbell on the bench again... let's see if he plays AUF GEHT'S DORTMUND! pic.twitter.com/N2YyxIdtsS— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) November 2, 2024
I mean if he’s got a clean bill of health you call him. Like it’s one thing if a guy is banged up but there’s no reason not to call up a healthy player. It’s not as if he’s been playing too many minutes and needs a rest.
With Sargent out and Balogun doubtful...............................big chance for Pepi and Wright. Pepi does have some good history versus Jamaica. Maybe Vazquez??? [Brandon came off the bench yesterday for Monterrey.] We did have a forward start in a top 5 league yesterday. And you do wonder if Poch wants a look at him. Like Wright, he can also line up on the wing. I'm not the biggest Pefok fan. I've just never seen it with him. I see more that I like with Wright. Maybe I'm biased. 1852704718096835054 is not a valid tweet id
Wright started at CF instead of wing. Someone posted it was his third in a row there. With some high level wingers on the way I'm interested to see how he looks there. He's also stated to own his big body and bang in traffic. We still have no high level forwards but we have quite a few bubbling just below at a late developing position who might be ready for a splash at the WC.
A certain dishonest poster here will conveniently ignore these facts to pretend like any p.t. he gets warrants an appeal to authority of bvb coaches for usmnt inclusion. Then if he plays well this poster will straw man people as if they said he couldn't play well w/ his circumstantial opportunity.
I just looked at the USSOCCER page and it seems like the match at Jamaica isn't on TV. That can't be right???
LiveSoccer says Paramount+ https://www.livesoccertv.com/match/5093825/jamaica-vs-usa/ But Peacock has a link up: https://www.peacocktv.com/watch/ass...4438a4140971?orig_ref=https://www.google.com/
Thanks. I have Paramount +. Wonder why that doesn't show on ussoccer? But no matter thanks for letting me know.
I'm getting confused now cuz of their official release. Road/Home games could have different rights. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...2024-25-concacaf-nations-league-quarterfinals But maybe it's just Peacock/Max/TNT on the 1st one too, cuz here's a Peacock link I found: https://www.peacocktv.com/watch/ass...4438a4140971?orig_ref=https://www.google.com/ Either way, it'll be on somewhere.
Is Poch going to call up Kristoffer Lund even though he can't start in Serie B? 1853170446268576135 is not a valid tweet id
Honestly think John Tolkin and a healthy Caleb Wiley should be in front of him anyways. Now you also have Nathaniel Brown potentially
Lund seems cheerful, unfased by your critical attitude - still a likely callup (if healthy) I would think. When are we expecting the roster to be announced?
