I’m guessing that Mexico now wishes they had chosen to host the first leg.

As I understand it the four seeded teams were allowed to choose.

 

Jam v Can rescheduled for 1030am Eastern time tomorrow, Saturday, Nov 18. 2023.

 

Jamaica really hasn't played with a home field advantage in what seems like a decade. Di Office always seems empty, so I was finally hoping to see it relatively vibrant for the Canada match.

Rain + 10 a.m. Saturday start time ruins those plans I reckon.

 

The JFF has announced that it is now free for anyone who wants to show up to the match tomorrow morning. Hopefully, that will bring some butts to the seats.

CONCACAF now salivating at the thought of Mexico dropping down to the Copa América playoff, thereby making it a premium event somewhere in the Southwest in its own right (can have the Nations League Final 4 somewhere more USMNT-friendly in that case)

 

The play-in games have been announced for Toyota Stadium just north of Dallas in Frisco. 18k home of FC Dallas.

The CNL Semi-finals and Finals have been announced for ATT Stadium in Arlington Texas (same weekend). 70k home of Dallas Cowboys.

I’m guessing that Concacaf would much prefer Mexico playing two games in the big stadium over one game in the small.

 

Too late to swap venues?

 

Probably too early. No disrespect to Honduras, but holding Mexico to only one goal in CDMX is no easy task for any team in our region.

 

Seriously tempted to combine a March road trip with an extended weekend in Dallas now. Just hoping I end up at the same Travelodge or whatever as one of the more budget-minded MNTs

According to Wikipedia Costa Rica and TyT avoid each other which suggests the legs are set.

Do costa rica play the loser of mex-hon or jam-can

So the loser match ups will be based on concacaf rankings. Idk who ranks where atm.

 

Coco has been in declining form recently. He looks tired. He has played a ton this year.
