Is that Borat? I'd like to learn some Eastern European languages. I guess I could start with Romanian (since I already have Italian, and a bit of French) as a gateway to Slavic languages.
Oh man, I'd forgotten all about Mahir and his 15 minutes of fame. I knew three very very cute women who formed an impromptu Mahir fan club. If they'd been serious, he and his "I kiss you!" would have been very happy.
I spent a year learning Russian grammer and another 6 months learning Croatian grammer all taught by the meanest idividuals for whom perfection was the only option so I think I can summarize this post for you. When it comes to the agreement of all the parts of you sentence as far as gender, number, case is concearned: English = easy Eastern European languages = so incredibly difficult that to attempt to understand it would lead to you either consuming mass quantities of the most potent liquers known to man, produced in someones barn or your head exploding.
Bingo! That's where I learned my Russian, the Serbian/Croatian/Macedonian I learned in North Carolina and picked up some more in Croatia and while dodging rocks/bottles/bullets/and sharp-witted insults in other parts of what was once Yugoslavia. Which, by the way, if you don't mind a few minefields and a little political unrest here and there, is an absolutly beautiful country.
It's not perfection, it's just that meaning can completely change with couple letters, there's no way to directly translate from Germanic languages Our monkey languages are spoken by so few people they didn't have time to evolve and become simple At least we don't have spelling tho hehe
So the ENTIRE lower bowl and a good part of the upper deck is going to be bannered? If so, Bra friggin Vo.
Ok we got another to cross off the list....We Love You Petke. We're pealing em' out one at a time and trying to make em as cool as the one's you all make!!
I think we will cover quite a bit... I THINK it will look amazing. We'll have a ton of pics. --Who the fvck are Section 8?
Banners and Beer mix......... Banners, beer AND paint fumes DO NOT!!! Kids, do not try this....if you do.... Only do it at home...... Party over...must.sleep.now.
In case anyone is still worried about space for banners, besides the upper deck, there is lots of space on the blue walls all around the top of the 300 sections on the barra/se side. Also, there is a good 10 feet of unused blue wall space on the open wall behind the open goal (below the advert signs and above the ground, running the length of that big wall). Finally, there is also the possibility of using the railings at the front of the 300 level sections...these are elevated and can be seen on the camera, I recall. Cheers, Tim
dude, asking me for help with polish is like asking Connor clan for help with spanish ;-) viva los barracudas.
From an actual Polish speaker, ha I knew "was" was plural, all those simple words are same in both languages heehee I got kochamy cię too, luckily it's easy to just change last word from pl. to sing. From: Marcin To: BBBulldog Posted: Fri 29 Oct, 2004 10:53 pm Subject: Re: little question I guess "love" translates to quite a few words in Croatian like in Polish. So you really wouldn't want to write that you are "affected" to him. I think the best would be: Nowak, uwielbiamy Cie,. This e, has a little dash that starts below the bottom right end of the letter "e" and goes at a 45 degree angle back to the right and is pretty short. You could also write the simple Nowak, kochamy Cie,. But it has some double meaning to it; I think you understand. It is not too bad though. You make your own decision. Marcin
the best would be (as i posted on the Polish forum) kochamy Piotra --- we love Piotr that 'cie' and 'uwielbiamy' stuff is too complicated, the above is simple and easy and i'll pretend i did not see that comment on the 'Western Rus'
and Croatians are southern Rus. My family came from Warshava to Croatia 100+ years ago Good to have a Polish guy on hand, now we get to tap you for all the translation
