Is it just me, or does it seem that the www.fifa.com web site is a sepp blatter propaganda tool. They always seem to put articles that have him in a good light. is it supposed to be a fifa web site, or a sepp blatter web site... no wonder he got reelected to head fifa, and as soon as he did, he disbanded the committees looking into fifa fraud and mismanagement...how come the web site does not mention any of that? in my oppinion, some government should investigate FIFA finances...since it is headquartered in Switzerland, the swiss should do it. any thoughts on the FIFA web site? or sepp blatter conflict of interest? sincerely, iowa007
FIFA just an official organ like Pravda was. No more, no less. At least some of the semi-information is reliable.
The Swiss courts made a ruling today: http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,1563,913010,00.html
Swiss courts? Is that like Iraqi democracy? Obviously easier to swat a minor official from an impoverished state than to deal with corrupt officials within their own state.
It is fair enough that FIFA wants to know where the $1m dollars these countries received to "improve infrastructure, enable teams to take part in competitions, cover grassroots development and cover personnel costs" went. If they spent it on the above then all they have to do is provide a report listing the improvements they made. If they spent the money on new BMWs or similar, then they are about to get what they deserve. Crowdie.
