Interesting article by Krauthammer in TIME. I'm not normally in agreement with him but do find his articles provocative. This article I'm somewhat sympathetic with. Bush can't simply come out and say to the UN that we want to rewire the future of the Middle East, but this principle is, I think, behind his policy on Iraq more than anything else. In the end, I think he'll go to war on the basis of this idea ... and I doubt he'll even spell this principle out to the American people. It's bold, arrogant and blatantly hegemonic and the risk/benefit potential is huge. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1101030217-421021,00.html
