I just called Comcast to purchase the Euro2004 package for $179 for all games and they told me that they were only selling the matches on a per-match basis. I just want to confirm this with others or could it be that my rep did not know about some special code that she would have to type in to get all the games for $179. --joubert
I just bought the whole package yesterday. I'd just call again. Odds are another person will answer the phone and all will be right in the universe once again.
Comcast is inconsistent, as usual. Well I've been calling them almost daily for a week now, and after getting 3 CSR's who told me I can only buy games individually, finally today a nice girl told me they would start offering the package starting this Friday. I hope it's true, but why the delay anyway? I'll update you on Friday if I was able to purchase it.
Just out of curiosity, are you guys paying the $179 up front? Dish is making everyone pay the fees when you order it. In 2000, Cox Cable let me pay the fee over 3 months.
I called twice today and am still getting the "we only offer it per game" line. I live in Atlanta, GA and called 1-888-comcast. Anyone know how to find the right person or know what we need to say to help them find the information in their system? --joubert
FSW (fox sports world) is just an additional $5 if you have comcast digital. FSW will broadcast 5 first round games live, quarter and semifinals on a 5-day delay and the final on a 3-day delay. Unless you definitely have watch all the games and live, that may be a very cost-effective alternative.
Well, I just got off the phone with a Comcast rep and they said that they just got an email that they would have it in their system tomorrow morning. They seem to be getting a lot of calls for the package deal. So, I hope that tomorrow everything will go right ;-) --joubert
good for you. keep pressuring to get it on time before you miss anything. I say this becuase my expeience with the whole comcast system has been very disappointing as far as keeping up with orders an timely responses, but that's me.
Comcast does not seem to consider Fox Sport Espanyol as sports, but spanish broadcasting. so, if you want to get FSW and FS-E, you need to fork over $15. No wonder some people prefer satellite, but not sure the deals are better that way. Awaiting Boca-River #2, dale booooooooooooooooooooooooo
I just ordered through Comcast Chicago today with no problems. They have the whole package for $179, and I paid an extra $10 a month for additional cable, so for the first time ever I will have FSW. What a day!
