I'm on the cusp of ordering Comcast Digital's Sports Tier, which includes FSW and GOL TV, among some others.

I'm familiar with FSW, but not so much with GOL-TV. I'm assuming it's Spanish-language soccer programming - what kinds of games/leagues do they cover ?

GolTV is English-only on my Comcast Sports Tier (except for the commercials), and it has 2-3 games each from Spain and Italy every weekend. They also broadcast a lot of UEFA Cup action and more South/Central American soccer than any sane person would care to watch. Between that and FSW, it's very easy to justify $5 a month.

all types of stuff. Italian occasionally, Ecuador, Columbian, Spanish, Guatemalan, Salvadoran, etc. it's a great channel and you will love it if you are a soccer fan.

Right on, but when does Fox turn FSW into Soccer TV?

I have Comcast digital. Are you saying you can pay $5 extra a month to get FSW and GolTV?

The Digital Tier is excellent. Here is what we get with it in Baltimore, I don't know if it's the same everywhere:

FCS Atlantic, Central and Pacific - More college football, basketball, soccer and baseball than you can shake a stick at.

FSW and Gol TV - must haves for soccer fans.

NBA TV; College Sports TV - more college soccer, basketball, football, and other sports such as field hockey, water polo, etc.

    And NFL Network.

    It's more than worth it.

Ed, how much is it over the cost of Digital Cable?

I got it in April or whenever it first was available. It's been $2/month since, but it's going up come January. I haven't check to see the new amount, but for as much as I watch those channels, anything up to and including $10/month would be fine.

I mean, for FSW alone, if you didn't have it, you'd pay $10/month to get the Spanish Tier for FSW-E. So to pay that $10 and get all the other channels, I figure it's definitely worth it. I can't imagine it'd be much more than that.

Several soccer-enjoying friends have ordered it. They tell me it's $5 per month, and that Gol TV is the real find here.

Re: Comcast Digital Sports Tier - Anyone Have It ? IN MICHIGAN?

I keep calling the dumb fvcks at COMCAST and they either don't know what the Digital Sports Tier is or just say that I don't get it in my area. Is there anyone from Michigan that has the Digital Sports Tier???

Try the local billing office. I got a bunch of BS with Comcast 800 customer support.

It's totally worth it. GolTV is great -- I love being able to watch Italian matches and Spanish matches (although you get those on FSW as well). And as someone also said, GolTV shows buttloads of South American soccer, which can be fun to watch.
