I dona't always agree with Hang but I think he is right about this. Honestly, the rookies look better.
Eh, Atlanta beat us 2-0 at Mapfre and 3-1 in Atlanta last year. They've added Barco we've not really upgraded anywhere. So the result isn't that surprising.
Three basically free header opportunities when the score was 0-0 and we not only didn't score any of them, but didn't put any of them on frame. Once they scored, the game was basically over. Trapp was a mess. I made the comment to my group at the game that it looked like we was making the wrong club selection. He mishit a ton of his long passes/switches. Artur was bad again. Not sure what to say, in the offseason I made resigning him a top priority. We don't have anyone better than him, but he's not been near the level he showed last year, especially during this run against the top teams.
Haha! I feel like sometimes we just need BS name tags when roaming the hallowed grounds of Crew Stadium! That was a fun evening! Also for those keeping score at home... She also got her [emoji882] Unicorn (Courtesy of the $20 gift card she won)
I saw the unicorns for sale at the pop up shop over the stage and thought of the discussion about your daughter
No it means that I only had to pay sales tax since the unicorn was $20 and she won a $20 gift card. I don't mind paying sales tax in Ohio. [emoji3]
Dont try to move the f*cking team. Thats the answer. People will not support Fat Ass Tony and I am one.
My word, everyone is tense. We need Sargent @stanger of the Fan Police to come in here screaming and yelling that Austin is dead and local ownership is a certainty to calm everyone down.
I think @stanger is on PTO, but I'll fill in - AUSTIN IS DEAD! LOCAL OWNERSHIP IS A CERTAINTY! There.
I, of course, know even less than the next guy, but I thought @hangthadj had a good idea. Just trying to help out. For the team.
I have been thinking about how those STC folks on Twitter do not seem to get exhausted from the constant barrage of #SaveTheCrew messaging and positive spin. It exhausts me. And I evaluate myself as an overall positive person. So I keep going back to my rudimentary Crew version of Pascal's Wager. For Crew fans, it seems to be the better option to think with positivity about the potential move/potential saving, right? If you are right about Crew being saved, then massive reward. If incorrect, then that sucks but at least you tried. If you are right about Crew leaving, then massive loss. No real reward except saying you were correct "I know all along," which is not really a reward. I wonder if that guides those folks who seem to never tire of the positive messaging and spin.
The whole business of moving or keeping the Crew will take a while to play out. There will be ups and downs along the way. Don't get discouraged.
I do think there is a lot of that. I, for one, try to embrace that philosophy - consciously. And there is something else too. Years ago, as a young manager, I was specifically taught to keep my hands off of people's attitudes. Fast forward to 2018, and guess what, science is proving otherwise. Much is now published and taught (even in corporate america) around the importance of perspective, outlook and attitude. The remarkable impacts of hope and gratitude are undeniable. The cultivation of a grateful heart will be greatly rewarded. People with a positive view of the future, who are thankful for what is given, tend to attract. Inspiration fortifies. I believe the positive energy of this family is key to us having a chance. I think it is working.
You need to get a life. Or go on vacation. A week golfing in northern Michigan would do you a world of good. [emoji16]
Self-observarion: This situation is a rollercoaster. I find myself optimistic with the positive posts and news about developers, the lawsuit, etc. And I get depressed with news about how dumb the ACC seems to be, Sacramento, etc. So I look forward to coming here and seeing if there is some good news. I think the reason there is an echo chamber here is people want to keep their spirits up, to stay hopeful. It’s a coping mechanism. That’s my $0.02.
I await hang’s magnificent response about his grand life that I happen to have the honor to see through Facebook.
