Yes. Beyond the fact that you're a fan, some reasons: Night games are the best. We don't get too many due to the late turn-off of daylight savings time and Ohio's edge status in the eastern time zone. But an 8PM kickoff should have a very nighttime feel right after kickoff. Playoff caliber match-up. ZYWNYCFCPDQ is a pretty good team. Their home games are unwatchable on that ridiculous field of theirs. So seeing them in person on a real field matched up against our home town heroes should be a treat. Party cloudy, coolish, 20% chance of rain Eleventynine Crew players have 1 goal, don't you want to be there when the first scores his second? I'm going to be there. As Columbus's premier taste maker, doing what I'm doing is good for you. #SaveTheCrew/#TIFOSWEAT Holiday weekend, so you have an extra day to do nothing, so Saturday should be about fun.
Not enough width in your second option. I hate it when Mensah is last man in any situation, that is one why I like 352 so much, it pushes him wider and has some one behind him after he overcommits. The other is that we have been anemic on offense, the wide mids in particular, and 352 allows for all 3 of our productive offensive players on the pitch (Zardes, Pipa, Mullins). If we do go 352, I want at least one attacking mid on the wings at home. On the road vs a juggernaught I can live with 5 defenders. Not at home. Neither Valenzuela (horrid giveaway for the goal) nor Afful (lazily got beat inside for what should have been a goal) were that good last week. Santos was the best of the attacking wide mids, so I run him out again.
You forgot the most compelling argument. Until this team is saved, this is one of very few guatanteed opportunities left to see your team play at home.
Very true. Basically how I have managed to make it down to every regular season home game this year. If anyone wants to start to brainstorm what reason I could use next season, then please do start. Make sure it is geared to convincing a spouse.
Santos doesn't do enough defensively to line up in a 3-5-2. There will be a ton of exposed space behind him and Guille have mercy if he's paired with Mensah. Grella and Meram seem to be willing to work defensively with Hansen and Opoku on deck.
I have seen this coming and have been talking about it for weeks. KC Bus assured me there is nothing to worry about and told us all not to lose sleep over it. Everything is fine.
Starting with a 4-5-1. Santos and Meram on the wings, Valenzuela at LB. I think Ggg has settled on his starters for the rest of the season.
