Knee to the back. It’s not a play you typically think about seeing a red card for, but it’s a nasty unnecessary thing to do.

I see how you can give a red there but it seems harsh to me. This ref hasn't been great or even in his match management.

We must get 3 points playing a man up 40 minutes against Colorado. Anything less is a failure.

You can successfully argue it either way.

Clearly intent to play the ball was absent

Clearly it did not have a lot of excessive force to it

    Toss up

Reminds me of John Terry in 2012 vs. Alexis Sanchez in the UCL semi-final 2nd leg

JT's offense was entirely off the ball but still, like you said, unnecessary

Wow. I leave for 5 minutes to grab another beer and make sure Mrs. Grouchy is still alive and I assume a straight red card?

It’s not a play you see all that often. I mean, I couldn’t even put a percentage on it for how often it’s called that way because I just don’t know.

Pipa with the goal in the eternal struggle between scorer and keeper and inverted facial hair growth.

I’m happy he scored. I still can’t wait for the Pipa era to be over. We can’t play Colorado every week. He needs to bring so much more.

That cross across the six goes begging.

Well, looks like VAR would have scrubbed that one out for an offside, anyway.

I have a wild preference where I prefer my #10 to not go 3 months without a goal or assist. Call me radical...

We're a different team without him on the field. The difference in our attack is clearly positive when he's playing, whether or not he's scoring or assisting.

I would like to see Trapp taking more restarts (corners and free kicks). He's done a decent job putting the ball in dangerous areas with the Nats and yet we have Santos/Higuain always shanking them every chance they get.

Bug stat they mentioned earlier is that both Pipa and Higuain are top 10 in the league in corners taken.

How often do we look dangerous on those corners?

I mean you can't count on Trapp to hit 40 yard rockets into the back of the net every game right?
