Look, we had this flush of happytime emotion wash over us this week because of the recent signings. Swell. Small point: none of those players are with us yet, we're still missing three starters, and there's a rumored DP level attacking player the team wants to sign in the summer window that we desperately need but might not get until the season is winding down.

In other words, tonight's team is the one that's been arguably the worst in club history, not the one we hope to be fielding come August. Of course they lost. How could they not?
