The schedule makers have done us a favor giving us this road game in April instead of the dead of summer. Will we take advantage of that? I have no idea, but I chose "Winging It."
The league giveth, the league taketh away. Yes, a boon to play in tolerable temperatures, but we're coming in on short rest while Houston did not play midweek. Are we going to trot out the same lineup for this one? Three straight losses and playing our third game in 8 days has me hoping for some changes. I suggested a total rotation for Wednesday, the team got 1 change instead. We didn't exactly look tired as a unit, except maybe mentally as we continued to try and jam that square peg into DC's round hole. Houston would absolutely love to have us knock the ball around the edges of the final third so they can hit us with their devastating transition game. Tired legs, hopeless crossing and a losing streak have me less than hopeful for this one.
On that note, I expect about zero out of this match other than >50% possession. Because that's all these last 2 coaches seem to give a shit about.
That's the reference I was going for, just making a different offer of something I have a little more of to offer.
I'm with Doom and Gloom here. Another bad day for us. At this point, with what we've shown capable of, it's what we should expect to see from them.
I just got paid to post here....Oh what should I say? Houston gets lulled to sleep from watching final third footage of Crew matches. Coachbot makes a change or two and its a Goal Bonanza Breakout! Crew win 1-0
