Note, I will be turning on my Uber app a little after the match on Saturday so you can look for me. I wish they allowed you to put destinations on the app so I could bring someone to the game too.

Several years back at the USA vs Guatamala game, a Guatamala fan walked into the restroom at Crew stadium wearing Michigan colors, I said to him,Buddy I don't mind you rooting for your team but that Michigan stuff has to go. (Had smile on my face)

Reminder that while the stadium opens at 6, the seating area doesn't open until 6:30.

Schedule magnets to the first 10k.

Would expect more than 15k for tomorrow. Home opener after and MLS Cup run season. Hope it turns out to be bigger.

Historically the Crew hasn't had a strong opening week(s) due to the uncertain weather. OSU is on Spring Break as well.

The sources I talked to last night weren't very concerned as this is typical.

    Happy Crewsmas to All!

The names have changed but a gem from @KHT_Crew from year's past:

    The Night Before Crewsmas

Twas the night before Crewsmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a Scouse.
The stockings were hung by the lockers with care,
In hopes that St Lamar Hunt soon would be there.

The supporters were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of tifos danced in their heads.
And mamma in her scarf, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a late winter’s nap.

When out on the pitch there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like Jacob Thomas,
Tore open the curtains and threw off the valance.

The moon on the breast of the game day mow
Gave the lustre of matchday to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature bench, and eleven players.

With a little old owner, so kindly but blunt,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Hunt.
More rapid than eagles his players they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now O’Rouke! Now, Oduro! Now, Arrieta and Glauber!
On Marshall! On, Speas! On Hebrew Hammer!
To the top Higuain! To the top Tyson Wahl!
Viana and Williams, dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the table’s top the players they flew,
With plenty of wins, and St. Hunt too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each soccer boot.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Lamar Hunt came with a bound.

He was dressed all in kit, from his head to his toes,
And his clothes were all colored with Black and Gold.
A bundle of goals he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the teeth when he smiled were as white as the snow.

A rolled up program held tight in his fist,
And an Urso lapel pin for the one who is missed.
He had a kind face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And blessed all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his players, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"MASSIVE Crewsmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

First home opener I have missed on 7 seasons. Strange not being there.

Yeah, apparently this was an issue with the mobile app. The full site showed differently.

That was last night -- no idea what it looks like now.

This gm should not be at night nor any early spring or late fall regular season gm when your weather is colder you want to play in prime weather I would say a 330 or 4pm kickoff would be just great and then in summer months all the games should be in evening when it's cooler

Years ago, when it spitting a rain snow mix during setup, I told Scott DeBolt that "Late April Home Opener" was the phrase that pays.

Well, the truth is that due to the State Fair and Quarter Horse Congress, we lose a lot of potential home dates in August and late Sept/Early October. Have to get them in somewhere....

    Jimenez starts...

    ... again

Which is even more strange than his start last week... given he was probably the most anonymous Crew player on the pitch before he got subbed.
