Is a home game just what the doctor ordered to get the team out of a funk and on their winning ways? Or will we be treated to another match of poor or no finishing, frustrated midfielders, a defense that makes that one mistake and a goalie inching closer and closer to a repeat of MLS Cup?

I'm gonna vote "Win by One" every game this season, just like last season, and slowly but surely me pressing that button is gonna turn it around for the team. You'll see. You'll all see.

A draw does absolutely nothing for us. So, draw.

I'm looking at the next 5 games. I mean 10 games into the season you should have a relatively good idea what you have as a team. We have 4 of the next 5 at home. NYC, HOU, @SEA, MTL, and COL.

I look at this and I see 10 points as best case scenario. Beat NYC, HOU, and COL. Lose to Seattle and Draw Montreal. I think that is looking at this with some rosey mother********in glasses though. There was nothing in Saturday's performance that leads me to believe that we could draw MTL in a few weeks time. Or even handily beat NYC this weekend.

But for the hell of it, let's say we get 10 points from these next 5 games. That leaves us with 12 points from our first 10. That simply isn't good enough. That's nowhere near good enough. That's Philadelphia Union type bullshit. Of course, we should aspire to that since they embarrassed us at home.

    Go Crew.

I think you're exactly right. 10 is your over/under number for the next 5 games. 10 and up is good anything less is bad. I could quibble about 9 being acceptable or not, though I lean not for a "contender", which is what the Crew were supposed to be this year.

Its time for boom goes the dynamite!
And by that I mean we crawl out of this stench pit we are in and make the world cower before our massiveness.
The team wakes from their slumber and pound Man City Juniors like a horned-up rabbit on a cocktail of crack and Jolt Cola. The rest of the league runs in fear like a town of supposed Japanese peasants who see Godzilla for the first time in a 1954 film.
    Ummm sorry, win by one.

What's worse, a new Crew jersey from the front or a NYCFCFCNYCFC jersey with Mix on the back?

So, boys, I just put the arrow on CCSC on Counter Attack on Sirius XM and has the league figured out a year later than the Swedish league did?

The sight of the new blue shorts and the pale yellow Jersey makes me ill.
The sight of the NYC Jersey with the Mix name on the back makes me glad it's not a Crew Jersey with mix on the back!!!

The guys couldn't overtop the 2008 team with a MLS Cup, so maybe they're trying to overtop the 2009 team at 0-2-6.

I don't believe that we will win.

But, I believe we can do that.

The CSU Olde Farts are back in action on Saturday from 4-7 at the usual spot in the megatailgate lot with "free-to-all" Sloppy Joes. Bring something or just yourself as we get ready to beat NYCFC (and any other letters you care to throw in.)
