Silver lining. At least Kei's goal wasn't the deciding factor. If we don't see Berhalter address Parkhurst, Finlay and a suitable #10 soon. @hangthadj and I are gonna have an anti tailgate grill out in the parking lot in front of Maphre on a weekday.
Can you do it on the 13th? I have a doctors appointment in Lancaster. Not too far to go the rest of the way to burn some effigies.
Glad I didnt renew tickets. I was always worried employing the same exact system would put in the position. The league has figured us out and only has to look at the notes from the last time they played us to prep. I miss the hope this team had with new logo, new manager, new owner. I miss decent jerseys. Where is this organization going exactly?
agree!!! next week we need to see Barson/Wahl. TBF i thought Barson had a very strong game. He seems to be dusting the rust off as CB.
Barson = not good enough for MLS Finlay = Regressed to a point where he should be on the bench Parkhurst = Past it Clark = Average Francis = Good Afful = Pretty good Ola = Good Tchani = Good Trapp = Most overrated player on the Crew and possibly MLS Meram = Good and bad (more good than bad today) Saied = Not an AM Subs = did nothing GGG = never changes anything and deserve a lot of the blame for the lack of quality this team currently shows (not his fault there were injuries, but he is technical director, so he needs to have a plan for a new CB and AM/CM). This team is just not good enough.
Wahl was sent of by Unkel for the second time this season... so was unavailable. That said, I doubt that Parkhurst would have been benched in favor of Barson/Wahl.
Our son tried to go to bed after New England's second goal, but I wouldn't let him. It's a damed shame when a 10-year-old has more senese than his father. My optimism is almost entirely gone, and that seldom happens. I'd like to see both Martinez and Mbwati starting on Wednesday, even if Cedrik can't go the full match. Ethan should come on for him, as was done in a recent USOC match. If the Crew was a baseball team, and played 162 games a year, I suspect that I would have a drinking problem that would make Leaving Las Vegas look like a Disney flick. Apropos of nothing at all in particular, where is Chr1st? How could he miss such high quality entertainment as this? I mean, hell, we SCORED and everything.
so you are telling me a player is horrible if they allow a cross. watch the build up. Barson gets pulled out and stops Kia breaking down the side, he then slowly drops back into position. meanwhile, Francis literally has his hand down his pants and is at least two yards behind Barson and Trapp who has now dropped in for parkhurst. Francis keeps Kia onside when the ball is played back to Kia. If francis pays attention the play is dead. then as Kia is prepairing for a cross Francis and Trapp stand flat footed as the runner goes right down the center. So again, how is that Barsons fault? third goal, ok Barson and Francis screwed up. but again as Barson steps to clear Francis is running back with his head down and pretty much steps on Barsons foot as he is going to clear it.
as a team the midfield is a sieve. i dont care if we had the top four defenders in the MLS the pressure our back four is put under is relentless. yea we may have some position but it is always CB/LB/CB/CB/DM/RM/DM to AM ball loss then back to CB/CB/RB......
Three minutes in and Chris Tierney is already serving in a dangerous ball. No he's not David Alaba but he's arguably had the best left foot in the league for a few years now yet Afful or Finlay can't be bothered? Second goal is just a simple, smart run that Trapp has continually failed to track (think back to the late equalizer in Dallas earlier this year).
so this is my soapbox...... i agree but.... as a team we have to be smart. I am not a Francis hater but the guy at times seems to just not care. if he pays attention and is inline with his CB the play is dead and we dont even have the conversation about Trapp not tracking the run. our other players were, dare i say, perfection...... Barson steps across and stops the run by Kia, Trapp falls in to cover Barson, Parkhurst steps up to the ball and now is the acting DM, Barson slides in and is now RCB, Trapp and Barson are holding the line at the 18, Kia is sitting around the 17, and Francis is sitting over on the left side all alone at the 15yard line taking a dump!! THAT IS THE BREAKDOWN. one small lack of concentration/lazy leads to all of our other work being pissed away.
Well, he said we arnt far removed from playing for the cup. Not sure if he is patronizing us at this point.
Some absolute arsewipe on Twitter Asked Precourt if Nicolas Otamendi was going to be joining. And was serious. He cost Man City 29 million a year ago The fans are generally morons. You get the team you deserve
Anthony Precourt @APrecourt 42m42 minutes ago Not good enough right now. Plain and simple. Anthony Precourt @APrecourt 28m28 minutes ago But we have a great coach and great players. Just not clicking. Shows the close margin for error in mls. Not far removed from playing 4 Cup.
