Arizona and LA II will play at the Switchbacks' stadium in October: I would assume this means the stadium improvements will be done, but they look like they just started: Foundations continue pic.twitter.com/5FX7bs7Ak8— Switchbacks FC (@SwitchbacksFC) August 27, 2014
In Switchback's defense, that pic is over 2 weeks old. A lot can happen in that time. We could have a new USL Pro club start up in that time.
Crown Town Soccer @crowntownsoccer · 23h Updated on site, but I'm now 95% sure the @ColoradoRapids will be the official @MLS affiliate of @queencitysc. #PrepareToDeclare They look like a pseudo-journalist on twitter for Charlotte USL Pro (Indy).
And they never updated the graphic, either. This Saturday is the game between Arizona United and LAG II in the Switchbacks' stadium. I don't think I will be making the drive, especially with a Rapids game that day.
I see that the Switchbacks have hired Steve Trittschuh as their head coach and Wolde Harris as an assistant. That says serious to me. Of course, they might collapse within six to nine months, but so far, it looks like they want to be successful. Of course, they need to update their website, and I've no idea what sort of fan outreach they are doing. We'll see how this pans out.

Q: Why no Colorado Springs Switchback USL subforum? A: This thread is in the main list of the USL Forum. However this team does not have its own team subforum. The reason it does not is that BigSoccer doesn't simply create them, we want posters to request them and tell us they would post in it. If we can get a good group of regular posters willing to use a team subforum, we will create one. No one has requested this for your club yet or if you have not enough people have supported it. If you are interested in changing this, go here and start a thread to request a subforum or support a already started thread: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/forums/forum-requests-and-voting.666/ Let me know if you have questions.
I spoke with Nick Ragain, Switchbacks team president today, I am going to go meet with him in the future, but in a nutshell here is what he said. They are going to expand Sand Creek Stadium to meet the minimum capacity for D-2. They have a 10 year lease at SCS. They have worked out an agreement to become the primary tenant at the new downtown City 4 Champions stadium and will move there when it's complete. They have a team recognized supporters club called the Trailheads. It sounds like things are moving in the right direction in the Springs. I'll post more info when I get it.
