72nd minute -- Quakes' 2nd sub, as mentioned by Goodsie, Walker on for Faria. A bit more speed into the game now...
Ian Russell in for Manny Lagos.       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
so are we just unable to do anything or is this on purpose? i.e., has yallop just been playing for a tie from the get-go? have we looked good? or is it a bunch of bunker ball? how'd faria look? damn, I have a lot of questions.
83rd min. -- Conway with another save, this time from Carrieri. 84th min. -- Quakes' 3rd and last sub, Russell on for Lagos. 85th min. -- Rapids' 2nd sub, Crawford for Henderson.
It seems like "bunker-ball", from my audio-only perspective, and they have defended well. Conway's answered all the challenges, as has Waibel, who's been getting great praise from the Rapids' radio/webcast announcers.
Conway needed that to have any chance to save his job ... not to mention his confidence and that of the team should he have to step in for the playoffs. Nice to see him have some success (so far of course. the game isn't over yet). GO QUAKES!!
End of regulation The score has remained:        0        0       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G

Commentators on the Rapids radio/webcast saying something along the lines of "after the first 90 minutes that was quite enthralling, that first overtime was as dull as dishwater". Gawd, I hate regular-season overtime.
