Good Red for Chivas. Sticking up for himself,
and out Thursday is no biggie.

Zarco left back, Broome left mid. Solid.

    Full-Value Chivas for Tuesday.

Well hopefully the rookies learned something and if they are needed in the playoffs they will come through.

So . . . .What does this do to our ranking? Colo still doesn't surpass our points, do they?

It'll be tough for Dallas to win the Supporter's Shield now.

Realistically, Dallas will want to aim for 2nd in the Western Conference so they can end up seeded 3rd in the playoffs.

Looking at the remaining schedule though, you all have to be happy with your chances for the Shield. LA and SJ play each other at least twice, and you all play the Metros (who, with OZ at the helm haven't been as impressive as their talent should be), NE and DCU.

If the playoffs were today, Dallas would play Colorado. They barely beat the B team at home tonight. The A team of the Red and Black will have no trouble sweeping them in the playoffs.

He's right, i think LA and San Jose will tie maybe twice. So we still have a good chance, we just need to take care of business. Lets just all be glad we're done with the game w/reserves in the week of hell.

I think the Supporters Shield is still in the Burn's hands.
We have NY/NJ, Revs & DC, not exactly the cream of the crop.

Both SJ and LA have to play each other twice. Its unlikely that either team wins all their games.

It is in the Burns hands if they win the rest of their games and not unlikely.

Even if the Burn win all 3 games (not likely -- has any team won 3 in a row this season in MLS?), either SJ or LA can win the shield with 2 wins and a tie.

All the Quakes have to do is win their two home games and they are basically in unless Dallas wins 3 straight (which no team has done all year) or LA runs up a huge blowout victory.

Had Dallas won, the Burn would need only to win their two home games.

Objectively, I'd say this loss sucked for the Burn.

How objective can a Quakes fan be about a the result of a Dallas game this year? I know that there isn't a Burn fan alive that did not rejoice at the hide tanning that the Quakes took in DC. And I bet that if we scan the Quake boards somebody is already celebrating the loss by Dallas tonight.

So, Dallas is a longshot at getting the #1 seed. The #3 seed should be an easier road to the cup anyway because all of the eastern teams seem to be falling on that side of the bracket. If the Red and Black aim for the number #1 seed and fall just short at the #3 seed, life will be just fine.

I know it's all too easy to criticize the coach in hindsight, but the one error I think Jeffries might have made was putting too many untested players on the backline.

In retrospect, the Burn would probably have been better served starting Suarez this match and leaving Bussey for the Open Cup match.
