Rapids & Real are both ECNL. Rapids are also in EAL & MLS Next. Albion is MLS Next & EAL. Rush is ECNL. MLS Next is offering a "Tier 2" (the MLS Next version of ECNL-RL). Hopefully everybody is doing good at their tryouts.... errrr, I mean Kickarounds.
My kiddo made ENRL. He has friend on Albion, they are definitely MLS Next2 & EAL. Hope everybody else got on the team they wanted.
Does anyone have insight into where Colorado ODP (now Colorado Select) stands in the scheme of things? We have a 2012 boy FWIW. https://www.coloradosoccer.org/colorado-select-overview
We don't participate in Colorado Select, but we have a close friend who does (fwiw 2012 boy). Lots of upper echelon players (elite or mls next). It's meant to compliment their club activities and they do some traveling too. He likes it a lot and it's a cool way to meet players outside your club. Seems like most the kids are elite level or just about to break into elite level. Minimal conflict with club activities. Hope that helps.
Does anyone know of any 3v3, 5v5, or other organized youth summer leagues around the Denver area? Or even any locations where kids show up to play pick up games? My son is 11. Thank you.
My boys (12 and 11) play small-sided soccer in the "offseasons" with the Fussbally program. They really love it and the focus is on 3v3 or 5v5, players grouped together by skill vs just age. The 3v3 tournaments each Sunday are particularly fun and beneficial (lots of time on the ball, involved in play). I also get my sons teams out for pickup periodically in the summer...if you want to send me a DM, happy to give you a shout when we get out there. We play in the Globebille/RINO area.
Great, thank you! We played some Fussbally teams during a 5v5 season this past Spring. My son played on the SIQ Academy team. I liked how technical some of the Fussbally kids were and the games were a lot of fun over at Inspire Elementary.
