It seems to me that of all the foreign imports, Colombians and Argentines do the best in MLS. Not really sure why as the MLS style is nothing like what you see in South America.

Your able to bring in better players. There are so many Argies abroad and in youth systems that you can bring in decent ones. With Colombians our teams have no scouting ability, and just want proven players and they let good youth players slip by, or the teams are going bankrupt and let very decent players slip by like the Case of Roger Torres.

Edit: Solid debut. The team and the stadium looked practically dead until he came on. He is FAST and the crowd really got excited when he made a few Galaxy defenders look foolish. Bright future for this kid.

Milton Rodriguez (Real Cartagena) to FC Dallas when the transfer window opens on July 15th. Visa process already in the works, and he will begin training with the team in June.

I know! He needs to grow another 4 inches which I doubt, but he at least needs to put on 15 pounds which is very difficult for a young football player.

short and skinny, ok. But green? He plays like a veteran. Perfect vision, perfect touch, perfect sense of the field.

Re: Timbers supposedly close to signing Columbian forward

My apologies if I've broken forum decorum.

I don't speak much Spanish, and so much of the discussion on this board is in Spanish, that I felt like a more direct approach was warranted.

Baal88: The Timbers are a MLS team who are in the process of joining the league up from second division.

I believe Faider Burbano is in the MLS Superdraft (a player allocation process for most young incoming MLS players), but this is supposedly a signing that would circumvent that. Huh, actually after looking him up, both Burbano and Mena were supposed to be in the Superdraft, but their status as of right now seems unclear.

Re: Timbers supposedly close to signing Columbian forward

Sorry man no rumors if you are getting one it probably not a very famous one and an up and coming one unless your buying a sub 20 striker or Cristian Nazarit who it seems agents are really gasing the kid up and saying Chelsea and Real want him which is BS. Argie teams also want him but think his transfer is 1.5 million which MLS is not going to pay
