MLS will want 20m for him. See they want 15m for Gomez. While in Italy Inter Milan is like no one over 24 and more than 10m for our transfer window

Cucho is a big fish in a small pond; he NEEDS to get to European football to properly meet his dull potential.

    Palacio with a Golazo.

Sucks it was against Vargas but hey, good for him.
Gomez had a nice assist in the game too.

MLS is turning out ok for our prospects as they don’t overprice the lads

    sort of

10m is a lot. The Mexicans ask for similar numbers for their players but no one takes them seriously. The American marketing machine is working in our favor here. Likewise no one in Colombia would even dare ask for that much. Oscar Perea went for 5.5 and even that was a big ask

I was talking to a friend who has seasons tickets to the Boston team. He said issue with the MLS is if you sell a player half the money goes to the league so that is why they have to sell so high. So if They sold him for 11 million they only get 5.5 M. That doesnt take into account the amount they have to pay the Colombian team nor what they paid the Colombian for the player.

so selling a guy like him just Fks you real bad. It's something they will have to do to attract top talent tho. If they blocked his move then likely more top young prospects wont make the jump.

Santi Moreno going to Brazil? or that rumor died?

    Rumor died.

Also, I was reading the same thing happens in Colombia. Except that teams aren't as ambitious, they still ask for the same crappy fee but then still have to share the fee with commission for loads of different people

Cucho is in fine form helping Columbus beat Miami. I am so not looking forward to facing him in the QF....

Even if he's too old for age-obsessed europe he shouldn't be too old for the NT. I expect him to be on the list for the qualifiers.

he does deserve his chance, I agree. MLS though so you have to keep it in perspective. Even in that play for goal, lots of defensive posturing/space you wouldn't see in Europe. Ruidiaz (Peru) was a rockstar at MLS and did nothing for Peru hence why they're still hanging on to Lapadula (34) and Guerrero (40).

Two goals winning his second trophy with Columbus and is well on his way to win even more individual awards.

I don't know what else he needs to do to get a team from Europe to sign him. It is very clear that the MLS is too easy for him. At 25 he has to make the jump.

The big jump to Monterrey awaits in the not too distant future

As for NT, I have no doubts he'd be nothing special and I think there may be too much competition either way

MLS broadcaster Taylor Twellman recently said that Cucho Hernandez is the greatest signing in MLS history. Also emphasized that even though it was the most expensive deal at the time of his signing he provided more than expected and is still a steal for the price.
Plays every match like it is his last.

Hard to argue with any of that.

Cucho was another level of signing, a good player who was basically a starter in the EPL that still getting better pre peak. Too many players take it like a joke but he hasn't at all and the move has worked out for him, if he wants to go back to Europe I think he easily can in January.
