Hmmm...not sure if you count Oscar Pareja as a 'Colombian in MLS' anymore, but he has left his job as assistant coach for the U-17 US National Team to rejoin his old club in Texas: FC Dallas.

"Papi" is Oscar's nickname. Papi will be the Director of Player Development, the Head Coach of the FCD Jrs U-18 team, and the co-head coach of FCD Jrs. U-16 team.

Yes - that is my understanding. Wilmer Cabera is still the coach of the US U-17/18 National team. Oscar has moved back to FC Dallas / MLS.

    MLS recap of the season

-Angel has been injured most the time but still NYRB star player especially with Jozy gone and Reyna retiring he will have to step it up big but they just got Rojas who use to play for America de cali and some other Ven national. He is in the All Star team I believe as well

-Toja also might be going to allstar game and wanted by Steau, but isnt half of what he was last season

-Olave in RSL they love the guy he is a starter and they say they might buy him tho he is expensive

-Trujillo usually starts but isnt scoring for Kansas, dont think they will buy him

-Martinez is starter for DC, (any one know how much Millos got for him?)

    - Conde usually starts for Chicago but prob will be traded because he keeps bitching about it and the Blanco beat down haha

Closing thoughts think we should sell, loan out more players to MLS. Its easy money they are going to pay and dont mind getting reserves or bench players from us. None are really NT quality other than Toja and he might be going abroad proving that you can get a euro transfer if you play well enough

Sooner or later the league will get better and more exposure, hopefully some Sudamericana/ Copa Lib spots and in 5-10 years time we will be wanting to send some of our better talent there

another thing I see is that a few MLS teams have partnerships with South American teams yea a few are trying to get Brazilian and Argie teams that are big names and kind of dumb but I heard that Strongest or La Paz was going to partner up with DC United. I think it wouldnt be a bad idea for Millos with the link to Osorio to team up with NYRBs or have another top team that develops good talent but has no space for htem like Nacional,Dep Cali, America, DIM to send players to MLS for a season then make them eat bench or just play Copa Postobon

Texas is home to Oscar and his family. Last year Oscar decided that he should accept the opportunity to work with the U-17 national team. When a chance to come back to Dallas and FCD was presented he happily accepted the chance to come home to Texas. (He still has the same house, his kids can go back to the same schools, his friends are here.)

The rumor is that Oscar did not agree with former Coach Steve Morrow on many things when Oscar worked with Morrow as Assistant Coach and that this was part of the reason Oscar left for FL. As soon as Steve Morrow was fired everyone (players, fans) started asking for Oscar to come back.

Oscar Pareja is a man of honor and integrity, and everyone is excited to have him back!

P.S. FCD game sat - you going? Sunday is superliga - you can get tickets at Fiesta, and kids under 12 yrs old get tickets for only $5.
