Between Carbonero, Gomez and Marino it is going to be extremely difficult to figure which player (or combination of players) make it to the World Cup.

Carbonero is playing like a poor man's Vini Jr. right now. So dangerous on the left wing and on breakaways.
Gomez is dangerous anywhere on the field and is not afraid to shoot from any distance or angle.
Marino knows how to bring the ball up and attack his markers with dribbles and feints. Him playing with Gomez may make this even more difficult to evaluate. It is a shame all three won't probably make the squad.

Depth is always welcomed, I think carbonero is ahead due to his last showing in friendlies

i like Carbonero the most - anyone who can get get an assist via a Borre goal has gotta be special...

Gomez has seen limited minutes and scored a WCQ goal against Uruguay, but he's proven himself at the club level... i felt he got short changed in the November friendlies...

Marino - i think he's good and can be of value in the next cycle...

no clue what happened but this is like Vasco's 2nd shot on goal

Coutinho scores a great header off the crossbar and instantly gets injured somehow, guess he smashed his head into the center back at the same time

So glad he is back playing! Hope he refinds his early form again, a very exciting player at a position where we need to find depth...

Rengifo, Rojas and Monsalve for that role, off the top of my head

So happy to see Monsalve back.

    Good list of future "10s".
Although Renfigo to me is not that impressive but he is young. Maybe I am too critical.

I know this was from the State Tournament match up against weaker competition (Vasco vs Volta Redonda), but Gomez plays like a guy who dictates the pace of the game. Per Futmob, was MOTM with 3 chances created, 16 complete dribbles and 19 duels won.

Guys like him and Carbonero make me want to hope for a formations where we can utilize either them on the left and push lucho up further in either a false 9 / second striker role

We should be playing more lineups with 2 out and out wide forwards, Diaz locked on the left but our formation is always a bit unbalanced on the right and we have a lot of good young wide forwards who should get a shot. Gomez and Diaz on each side would terrorize defenses and give lots of space for Suarez to capitalize in the box.

He is our best hope for a modern attacking midfielder that can help us stray away from the old school #10.
