You misunderstood everything. 1. I never said, and have heard almost no one, say that Puerta was not good. 2. Cabal was hyped by Colombians... they guy saw <5min after his red card. The national team he choked as well. 3. Solis is one of the lowest ranked players in his team. Also the fact that he barely saw minutes at Girona shows he's just not that good. Cabal is not that good either.
the whole Cabal thing was so dumb to the point that i found it offensive that people thought an often injured player with basically zero minutes at the club level was on people’s fantasy 11 starting lineup for the World Cup. All bc he has the JUV next to his name With that said - I hope he’s having a productive summer getting ready for the 26/27 season to be a +30-game guy at LB or LM I hope Solis can earn a NT call up and show what value he can add. The Girona situation was sadly a bust for him and Yaser.
I wouldn't call Solis a bad player, but definitely unproven at this time. So time will tell if he'll meet our expectations or just below it.
Yeah he's a good prospect but unproven still, hopefully we have a few options for that position that can compete to be the starter. Castano and Portilla are in the mix too, they can all improve and having a season where things don't go right isn't the end of a career.
I have read negative crap about Puerta on YouTube comments when he was in Germany. Cabal was hyped up by more than just Colombians. That said, many could see he was limited and looked more like a CB than a LB. I do not care what Solis’ ranking is on his team or lack of minutes at Girona. Many young players lack minutes or just do.not fit with their clubs’ tactical philosophies. I think you are quick to dismiss Solis which Is something I think is unwise. Solis has certain attributes and characteristics that can help Colombia at midfield that very few others have proven on film at his age. It is nothing like Cabal in that regard.
I wish I screenshotted it, but someone was trying to compare Cabal’s situation 25/26 to Ronaldo pre 2002 World Cup…. I felt like the guy in Billy Madison who awarded Billy no points for his non sensical answer…
Cabal before he went to Juve was a very interesting prospect at Verona and player who was starting every weak in Italy. Could play LB or in a 3 in the back system. his injury did him no favors. He also had a horror show of a game then no playing time since. Hope he goes on loan. He is not a dead prospect or a terrible players. Some of you want Cuesta back. He is older and un failed at the last 2-3 teams he went to. we don't have enough depth to warrant sending players away. Or giving up on guys in bigger leagues. on the Solis front regardless of what you think of him he did more to warrant a call up to the WC than Castano who hadn't played in 6 months. Well... that can be said about a lot of players that we called up.

How does the voting work? Is it only employees within FCF? Member of Dimayor? I never really investigated this.
its a voting system where all the teams and leagues have a single vote. Alzate, who has been there as far as i can remember literally owns the Difutbol and then there are the Dimayor clubs who also have a vote. All these owners are there for the $$ they dont really care that much about the sport. So we cant assume they will let that power go to give it to IRC. That means the revenue for them will be lost or controled by an outsider. Its a tight ship of corruption
It sounds very similar to how the mexican football league system work. However from what I recall there are some clubs in LMX that are owned by the same owner. So I imagine the level of self interest that creates this corruption is similar to FCF

Barranquilla is updating the national team stadium. Does that mean it’s not going to bogota? isn’t Millos getting a new campin or will it just be updated like the Metro?
the question is, if Lorenzo remains how is that going to affect his relationship with the team? Is he still going to call James who is a divisive character in the team?
It just seems uncharacteristic of Lorenzo to be that way, and the context of the quote just seems off. I do believe there is toxicity in the locker room, and James may have been a talking point in it but the toxicity is rooted from the player ego's. I only say this because it has happened many times before.
