I hate multiple country -hosts. And it's like they're adding more and more countries when it happens. First it was just 2 countries, like WC 2002 and some european cups. Now it's 3....in the future what ? 5-6 countries? It will kill the WC feeling to me.
Although the countries here aren't as separated geographically as can-us-mex.

No I prefer old fashion single country-tournaments.

 

The bigger the tournament is the more countries will be involved.
There’s not too many countries that can afford to host 104 matches. They rather split the tab amongst other countries.

Sure, the feeling will be different than previous World Cups but cities and countries that are futbol mad and a part of its illustrious history can now host matches again without having the financial burden.

Montivedeo will be able to host again. Amsterdam will be able to host hypothetically in the future. Etc.

Football got ruined a long time ago with the money obsession, so now everything is a multi country tournament. They suck ass

Were any teams screwed with distance to travel for group stage? Portugal and Argentina I think have the easiest travel for the group stage - what a surprise

Guys I was referring to travel distance wise between the stadiums. Sorry I should have been more specific.

 

Miami to KC, Vancouver, KC, Atlanta, NJ... Pretty doable except the round trip from KC to Vancouver which should be about 5 hours each way (?) All the other trips should be well under 3 hours.

 

Actually think the multi country host is a good idea, by far the biggest scam and waste of money was countries having to build multiple stadiums when they couldn't use them when they're done, Brazil abandoned some stadiums for the 2014 World Cup, in todays prices that's billions completely wasted. This allows best cities and venues to only host and nobody has to build unneeded infrastructure or shitty cities to host.

 

Qatar build like 10 stadiums within sight of each other. They're holding a ton of international tournaments and, while you and I and everyone pays for oil - great job everyone BTW - they really don't care about using them once every six months. And that's without looking at all the issues behind that particular WC. All in all, multiple nations holding it is fine, and honestly speaking, the main issue so far with the 48 team format, is the additional round of games, since the 16 extra minions aren't doing so bad.

 

I just don't like the times. Gotta wake up at 5am every day, so staying up late at 11pm has been brutal as watching every game has been a tradition for me.

 

I rather the times be like this than having to wake up early in the morning to watch matches.

 

I can take the 10 pm match rather easily, and can find ways to watch at least a part of some early games while at the office. 6/7 pm or 8/9 pm matches are almost a must, but no way I'm staying up after midnight, at least not during the week.

 

Once I get home, I unpack, set up for the next day, and I'm in bed ready to sleep! I'm literally in and out of consciousness by 8 pm. That's me getting home at 6 pm, after driving for (1 hour and half) every day one way. (Houston traffic sucks bad!)
