    James should be number 1

It is probably a metric based on how often they walk around and not hustle?
It is kind of weird and subjective.

    From the internetz:

    • It compares each player’s distance to the team average
    • A lower index indicates less involvement in defensive phases
    • The data includes players with more than 1,000 minutes in the 2025/26 season
This creates what the report describes as a ranking of “off-ball activity,” rather than a direct measure of effort or quality.

What leads me to ask? How many minutes has James played in the last and present season?

James is so lazy he does not even play enough minutes to be eligible to be lazy.

    Makes perfect sense. :p

Please tell me James scored 0 so his score doesn't register on this testing metric. I was going to watch Villa later today. I believe his club plays Libertadores.

Love it or hate it we need all these weeks of boredom to see if James can get back into shape and lead this team.
He needs all the time he can get to find some sort of rhythm.
We also need JuanFer to recover.

Speaking of injuries, Colombian media is reporting that Gomez may be out for a while.
They are saying he may be healthy before June though so his World Cup spot may not be in doubt. So at least that is good news. But we may not know how healthy he will be until the friendlies.

Just saw the article (link below). Appears to be thigh-related. I would imagine up to 1 week of time off should get him back to good

On the other hand Hinestroza played yesterday for 12 minutes...not that he should be an option for the world cup given his limited minutes during 2026....

The move to Vasco for Marino actually hurt his chances for the World Cup. Sucks for him.

It is being reported that C Borja has injured a knee ligament in Mexico and will miss at least 6 months.

Machado in France is also injured but it is not being reported yet how severe his injury is. He was subbed out at the 25th minute over the weekend so hopefully it was more precautionary.

At this point Angulo may be the backup to Mojica by default if Machado is out long.

He might call Cabal because he can play CB as well but I don't think he ever plays at Juve hopefully gets a loan move out next year.

Borja... I thought it was a CF at first. Seems like forever ago he played for us.

As for Marlos he was pretty shit at Nacional before his move. Shit got to his head and he was piss poor for them. Not sure the Boca move would have gone any better for him.

Cabal just played so badly against France. But he is another option.

I mean... I love el Pibe. But Hames is in my opinion, and despite all his faults, a genius taking set pieces and through balls, Pibe was probably better protecting the ball and as good creating goalscoring chances, but James has the edge as a goalscoring attacking midfielder.

I may just put a young James on the left and Valderrama at 10. Or let them play together like JuanFer and James played together in the Mundial.
