If we get knocked out by eventual champion in last 32 it sucks but it is what it is

if we lose like we did vs England that is unacceptable. I want the whole team to get red carded if we get robbed a goal and the other team dives for a pk and gets it. Shit should not be happening with var

if travel is like it was at copa America where England, Argentina, France and Spain don’t have to travel but we go Mexico, nyc, Florida, California, NYC, California, Miami, nyc….

Then complain about it December not during the cup

if we lose because the coach is too scared to lose and has no attacking mfs like the England game …. I’m going to be pissed

or if a bigger team is allowed to hack at us the whole game and get 0 yellows like Brazil… yea that’s a crpa way to go out but Tiger kick by Zuniga was hilarious. Especially with Neymar going he would never walk about them then was at a night club the next day

karma was funny we def wouldn’t have been destroyed like that by Germany.

both 2014, 2018 our players should have started a fist fight for being openly fkd on national tv

2014 - we gave Brazil too much respect and paid the price. Plus - let’s not play Bacca the entire World Cup until the Brazil game when we are down 1-2 and let’s play Guarin 90 minutes against Brazil when Abel-Roca was the midfield of choice and Guarin was frozen out by Pekerman.

2018 - we gave England too much respect and paid the price. Let’s sub in Bacca as our first sub when the problem all game was the midfield. And let’s wait until minute 80 to sub in Uribe who was actually a game changer against Poland and against France in the pre WC friendly

As Furnaccio said in a previous post, I want to see a lot of Yaser, Carbonero and Gomez.
I do not care what the rest of the lineup is but those three should start in this NZ game since they are the weaker of the two sides we face. If not starters then first/second/third off the bench.

should be a more attacking lineup too. They're just going to bunker down all game

Tuesday will be 33-44 degrees :)..... in NYC

Considering it was in the 70s just a little while ago.... it is freezing and I am use to the weather. No one will run in the Aussie game and hopefully no injuries in the Cold.

Playing in the east coast November - April is insane !

I saw Brazil - Colombia in the old Giants stadium or maybe right after they built the new one. Neither of our players ran at all... they barely jogged it was so cold.

also saw a NY Giants game around this time 3 years ago one of the worst experiences of my life.

the giants game was vs the Seahawks and the Giants never got past their 30 yard line. I have never seen a team get dominated like that at home ever. And it was so cold I had all these warming pads and still felt like I was getting hypothermia

yeah I was at the Brazil game in 2012 too. It was coooold. The only player who ran was Cuadrado and he scored a goal and went on to be a full time starter after that game. Pekerman treated the friendly like a real game and played our A team and only made two subs.

Cold weather is perfect for this sport. You can run forever and never sweat, the heat is the problem not the cold, 30 degrees is cold but nothing crazy

Venezuela beat Australia last night in a friendly.

Of course that result does not mean much in regards to our match on Tuesday but I just wanted to put that out there.

I don’t know what Gio Moreno is talking about here but he was barely used during the 2018 cycle

I saw that, I don't remember him every featuring much at all. He basically committed football suicide when he ran off to China, lasted like 2 seasons in Argentina and that was it.

to tell you the truth I don't remember a single game of his with Colombia so idk what planet he's been living on.

we were using Macnelly and Aldo Leao

He was tall…. That’s about it couldn’t run, shoot or win in the air. This was pre Mina… think coaches were in awe of his height dude was a complete shit player

Gio Moreno? He had a wicked shot, great vision, and could protect the ball very well with a defender at his back - but he was slow as molasses and I think that killed his progression after he took the money and went to China.

I’d take Gio over Santos Borre right now.
(I know, different position but still.)

Gio did make the tail end of the 2018 process. Pekerman started using him as James' backup when the qualifiers finished.

But he is dead wrong. It's not Izquierdo who took him off the roster. It was Quintero. Quintero--to many fans' annoyance--got called back in the 25th hour and probably beat Gio out by scoring against France in the pre WC friendly. And Quintero ended up having a great tournament.

He's reframing this to not badmouth his buddy, and it's making him sound delusional.

Which makes me a bit sad that Venezuela didn't grab the last spot. As I've said before they have room for improvement and a larger pool of players which I don't really see Bolivia of having.

what a debut för Puerta! Great goal

No way could you take James, Quintero and Gio on a roster and well I think the way Quintero played silenced that whole debate.
