anyone know how to watch Saturday's game (7:00 PM EST) https://www.livesoccertv.com/match/new-zealand-vs-colombia/1oi5#5461771 Seems to be a replay on 9 PM EST on Fox Deportes?
FYI. you can order the games on PPV via Fanatiz. I think both games combined are $35 or $25 each individual game
def will watch this after skipping the last 2 NY friendlies. Was on the fence about the Aussie game but holy shit it is cold in CT/NY only going to be worst next week NY in March is freezing WTF are they playing in NYC in the winter? It can be a snow storm tho Colombia probably like can we play our group stage matches all in NYC?
March in NYC for a friendly does not sound fun, but I’m in. Will be interesting to see us vs Croatia. I’ve always admired their fitness levels. They have a good balance of experience and youth. Amazing how Luka is creeping up on 200 caps for country. Perisic has about 150. if Bolilo were Croatian…his last name would be….Smakabic
I can' t believe Bolilo is still coaching his stint at Honduras should have been his last coaching job 9 games no wins... 8 loses at El Salvador he is 11 games in 2 wins funny still hear his name mentioned sometimes with the NT ....
croatia huh, that will be fun. Never played them before. im guessing this will be similar to our duel with Belgium a few years back
For all his faults I trust his opinion more than anyone. He has been present for most of our best moments in history. Up close and personal on the bench. Hopefully he will be present for our biggest moment in history. (Semi of a World Cup.)
As I said in a post a few weeks back anything less than the Quarters would be a failure in my mind. Still not at the point where I can say Semis though. Let alone the Final as you say. A lot can happen in seven months. But if we are healthy and in a good place mentally we can compete with anyone in the tournament. That is a good place to start.
Lots of moving parts involved and this goes for any team but it’s going to come down to tactics and the strategy of using and maximizing the players on the bench. while James/Lucho are essentially the two generals and Rios/JArias/Munoz/Mojica being engine of the team - it’s going to be guys like Carrascal, Carbonero, Andres Gomez, Yaser and possibly Duran / Sini who come off the bench and make the difference. If we can get 4 or 6 points from those first two group games, I think we should be in a position to rotate more players around in what should hopefully be a less vital 3rd group game. lineup management is vital here and I feel Nestor struggles with that the most, especially when facing adversity.
