Yeah but the World Cup not being able to command ad revenue to justify Caracol buying out is crazy.

Fox sold out ad space in the WC in the US 15 months out.

Guys what would be, in your opinion, our best lineup formation and player wise?

    --------------------- Vargas ----------------------
    Munoz -- Lucumi -- Mina ----- Mojica
    --------------- Rios ------ Portilla* -------------
    --------------------- James-----------------------
    Arias-----------------------------------------Diaz
    -----------------------Suarez----------------------

Bring on Duran and JFQ at minute 70, to destabilize opponent and keep James fresh.

*I have Portilla in here because I categorically dont like the role we tend to put Lerma in - his being there reduces our ability to build offense and transition, there are match situations where you can be him. I'd actually rather play Castaño but know LxR is reporting he has forgotten how to play...

New Zealand should be a very very mixed team or mostly subs with James, Diaz and Suarez

    starting 11 plays vs Australia

would love if Arias started at 10 over James vs New Zealand

if it doesn’t work and Quintero didn’t work vs Canada start trying different formations in case James can’t play as no James and our game plan goes to shit

I think no 10 and it goes to pot. I would like to see Arias given a shot at it, but whether Carrascal or Quintero or James throughout qualifying we are much better with one than without.

From what I’ve heard, he’s been in a rough patch at once caldas since their elimination against the Ecuadorian team

    he "sCored" goals.... past tense

Why not Rodagol then? same amount of goals :)

Yoshan Valois -6'2 21 years old 2nd top scorer with 9 goals and top Colombian in the league in a crap team.

I mean odd to bring in a 40 year old in bad form when you have younger options doing better. Let's not be Peru. Also Daryo is 5th choice at best why not bring in a younger player.

I mean Villareal would have been an option if he had shown up to Millos and was at least training with them.... but dude has a bigger Ego than Duran

    * Mier I think should still have an opportunity in these no pressure games

    * Defense seems pretty much set for World Cup.

    * Hope Puerta, Carrascal and Yaser gets some significant playing time. I really would like us to try a solo CM instead of two DM’s

    * Carbonero and Gomez need to show something. Looks like we are stuck with Borre on the team

way too strong of a line up for these games... pretty much confirms the final roster for the World Cup. These games are against teams we should be playing on non fifa days with South American based players only and still destroying

    Coach
    - dude please fking scout !!! Possibly easiest game we will play outside of the Bolivia in the US friendly we had before the Copa America...... brings a full strength team with 0 new players

    GK
-These games were to test a 3rd GK. Mier is out the World Cup wild...
-but no play time Montero over guys in the league who are actually playing and guys who done better in the league than him is FKING WILD !! not even made about the Mier thing but that makes 0 FKING SENSE !!!
    - Montero at Millos got no play time and wasn't called to the NT..... now with 0 playing time at club is starting on the NT !!! WOW !!!

Defense - best we got unless we call up Mosquera of Arsenal who doesn't want to play for us. Ditta being dropped after starting vs Mexico and being great also shocking. Why does he keep getting called and playing then?

MF - No Quintero :) ..... garbage when pressure is on and James didn't pre win the game for him.
+ happy for Puerta and hope he gets minutes vs New Zealand
++++++ Glad Campaz is off the team that dude fking sucks
    - Rios should have stayed in Portugal regain form and we need another option for him
    - Carrascal.... I don't like the dude but if he really going god mode in Brazil fine with him getting a shot. But god mode vs New Zealand doesn't make him a good player.

    FW
    - WTF Is Borre doing on this roster
+ Duran not on the list. He needs to recover his form and keep his place on his team in Turkey. Coming here getting injured or scoring 20 goals will not save him from going back to the Saudi team.

    Happy Uribe wasn't called up.

Right call not to call Duran. Dumb@ss needs to learn discipline while getting back in shape.

I like Mier but Montero played well against Canada so deservedly is ahead of him.

Defense is mostly set but I think Yerson can still make it to the squad by summer. I am not confident in Mina's health. (Shocking news I know.)

    Agreed on Puerta, Carrascal, Yaser.

I am so happy for Carbonero and Gomez. Both are playing very well in Brasil.

Not so fast my friend. If Duran can some how get his head straight and score goals wherever he is playing then there is still a chance he gets called over Borre. I am not giving up hope on that one.

Puerta, Carbonero, Gómez, Yaser and Carrascal need to get some real minutes to show us what they can do…

I really hope we can try out some new formations where we don’t have 2 DMs - we DONT NEED to test Lerma/Portilla on at the same time or Rios/Lerma, Rios/Castano etc.

although I imagine we will likely see James being subbed by Yaser. Or I can see Nestor subbing in Borre for James and us going super defensive lol - historically we have a bad habit of trying to win friendlies (and not lose official games) while not using friendlies for experimenting which the euro teams are good at doing.

again beating New Zealand 16-0 isn't impressive. We should have gotten stronger teams if we wanted our WC roster to play.

I just fear Borre gets a hat trick, Carrascal gets 5 assist and we have idiots calling for him to start over James. Montero with a shut out.... not crazy impressive did the Canadians even shoot 2x at goal?

risking two 37 year olds on this trip seems wild as well

I do not not think the Aussies will be a cake walk they beat Canada but the Canada game was just the wrong roster. If the team that played Mexico played Canada it would have been a very high scoring game.
