When it comes to Keeper we are fine. You have hated Vargas for years now but he has played very well and you can tell he really wants to play in a World Cup. Unless he is injured or just looking really bad giving up cheap goals I think he will not be denied of his dream.
I think Ospina is done with the National team unless there's injuries to the younger guys.

Mier has the talent and potential but the more Vargas plays the less likely he has a chance to start for us in 2026.

It is weird you wanted Roman to get minutes and say we are fine with him. From what I have seen at Millos and Nacional I do not think that is the case but we shall see.

It is true that LB is a problem but it has been a problem all cycle long and most teams on this planet are having issues there. I am conceding the fact that Mojica/Cabal and Machado/Borja will be our guys to choose from since there is not younger guys at all who look good enough.
Maybe Velásquez but he barely plays at Nacional.

Striker seems to be as dire and desperate. Duran is developing nicely though but has to show he can start and not be a mental case.

After the debacle that was the 2022 cycle we needed new blood and to try out as many new guys as possible.

I hope we have more Non fifa days isnt that how he found Arias, Castano, Portilla. I mean it's the only time he gives shots to Colombian league guys and guys in Mexico. Our streak is over so hopefully he goes for finding new gems and not hey let's get another W with Non European players.

Like Mackalister was odd dudes 37 his time had passed. He was never going to get called up to a real game.

On non fifa days please no guys already on the team over 32.

No Vargas or Ospina at goal. Mier's time if he does badly then we know

No Quintero. Look for another James option that isnt Quintero or a way to play without a James. I do not think Quintero/Carrascal are anything like James.

No Santi Arias or Borja he is 32/31..... look for other RB/LBs

For the love of god no Uribe

he can use any players from US/Mexico/South America. Let's see what he can do.

Finding 1-2 players that can join his 30 core guys regardless of the results would be huge. Also maybe giving Ditta a shot not in Boliva maybe would be fair. Not that I think we will need him.

J Arais was given a chance when we had a friendly against Saudi Arabia in 2022. Portilla was just called up cause he was playing well in Argentina.
Castano was given a chance in the Non-FIFA friendly against USA in 2023.

He can use any players from those nations as long as their respective club teams clear them to play. And that is based on a club- by- club basis and a manager- by- manager basis.

We are not sure that Cruz Azul will allow Mier to go to the USA and play a friendly this winter. I mean they may, but they also have the right to deny the request for the call.

But I agree with you, I do like these Non-FIFA friendlies because all it takes is just one or two guys to make an impression and become a part of the roster. Good role players who are hungry to wear yellow are out there to be found.

I think some euro teams in the past let us bring guys(russia/Turkey) from there and Saudis. Tho outside of Cassiera getting another shot not sure we need to call anyone else other than maybe having Castano Start(he does great as a super sub)

Borre is at least scoring now. Just hope Borre is given the same role as Cordoba/Duran and not the weird play RW/DM that the coach expects Borre/Cucho to do but then still score

how much extra is it to bring an extra player? Feel like they make it seem like it's 1 million per guy.

Why did Cassiera do to not get called? Didnt he score on Germany? Seems crazy he isnt even an option any more.

Honestly Borre hasn't been that revenant as of late; last contribution he did for us (goal or assist) was a goal against the USA pre-copa America this year. In the qualifiers, he got us 3 points in single 1-0 victories against Paraguay and Venezuela last year. And we had moments where he missed golden chances, which isn't unique but he's not exactly up in the top of favorites to start anymore. He went from 70 minute average playing time to now being a supersub that doesn't give us even an assist. At the Copa America especially he did not show up when we needed him and look how we were able to get more out of other players.

While luxurious to have him, his on field playing time in terms of goal contribution hasn't made me care whether or not if he comes back.

Hell I care little for Cucho because he only played 12 minutes against Bolivia and his only real chance was against Mexico in that friendly late 2023; there's no reason to call him up not because he is useless but he doesn't seem to be in the mindset of the coach at all especially if he's only called up but not given any playing time. It's just pointless by now when we don't have the desperate need for him.

Probably aren't doing another call up until Nov 8th.... since last league games are Nov 10 in Europe. Sucks we play Uruguay 4 days later.

let just hope everyone is healthy this time around.

We will still kick Ecuador's arse no matter how many people we have in the stadium. We are due to beat those guys.
