I still want to think he's leaning towards the Genk defenders

    Muñoz, Lucu and Cuesta/Yerry

Uribe to me played better than Rios minus the goal. We dropped quality in the 1st 10-15 minutes of the 2nd half. Kind of woke up after the goal but he was really bad defensively.

I mean I hate Uribe and Sanchez but both played great last game and will again if playing against Bolivia. I just don't think their form against better teams will hold. Sanchez has way too many brain farts. I prefer Mina or Cuesta over him but would like to see Mosquera. Lucumi tho is untouchable in the back

    That is fair.

    But

Keep in mind Uribe was okay against a very good Uruguay. And Davinson was for the most part solid against Brasil.

Those teams are not slouches. But we shall see how they do in the future.

I know the old guys always bring up this goal... thats nice ... James took us farther and got the golden boot + had way nicer goals.

Biggest goal in our history was cordobas goal at home vs Mexico. Only one that gave us any silverware that mattered.

It was an important goal at that stage of Colombian football. Germany would go on to win that World Cup and we were the only team not to lose to them. It was a historic goal.

I remember seeing it live on tv. I was 8 at the time. It was an important goal, because with it we could go into the knockout stage. I remember people celebrating it in the streets.

I do agree those are crap. I don't mind being 12th in the world. But USA being 10?... 2 spots above us? Criminal.

once Euros and Copa are done there will be huge changes, Croatia tied against Albania and Croatia still ranking above Italy so expect lots of moves. Ranking would also have results that date back 4 years back to June 2020 which to be honest wasn't our best 2 years 20-21.
A good Copa run (semis or better) + good results in WCQ for 2024 should se us break into the top 10 specially when teams like the US + Mexico wont have WCQ in this cycle.

    marketing..

Its like that Transfer Market $$$ amount they gave the USMNT..
for players that are barely noticeable in their leagues they certainly have ballooned prices

It's so stupid because each confederation has totally different official games and Europe and Concacaf both have nations league which give alot more points then friendlies.
