Well then, I guess the Fed found a way to schedule a friendly before January after all.

Most good teams are focused on the World Cup and do not want to face a team like us going into it. They would rather face teams that give them easy games and confidence.

All the good teams will likely be using the final tuneup games before the World Cup to give minutes to players who are 2nd or 3rd on their depth chart.

Usually against bad teams that they can score goals on.

Remember this is going to be a NON-FIFA match so it will probably be MLS players vs. Colombian League players with a sprinkle of some MLS players and miscellaneous leagues that allow Lorenzo to callup players.

...Well then. Next qualifiers will be somewhat easier.

With out roster we should have been 10-15 points a head of Ecuador and Peru. It's just a real bad federation taking a shit coach that played way too defensively then hiring someone and giving him too much credit when we could have qualified but hadn't scored in 7 games.

Osorio said he would coach us for free the last 4 games. Federation didn't take him up on it.

Also current coach was the option after they fired Pekerman..... to hire him now because "he won the fking Peruvian league" is a joke...... the Peruvian league >>>> than Colombian league? Guy doing ok currently but not qualifying is more on the federation and shit coaches than on Ecuador being a powerhouse or Peru

Good job on Lorenzo for bringing in more promising youth: Arias, Atuesta, Santi Moreno, and Valoyes. It's scary how many young attacking options we're developing. Gomez isn't a bad call either, especially after Alzate's poor last performance.

I'd prefer it if Falcao wasn't there, but, as I've mentioned, Lorenzo is working on transitioning the team. He's giving the veterans their props, and leaving Cuadrado out is a big move as is.

It sucks that we won't get to see Yaser, but it'd be VERY hard to see him, Carrascal, Valoyes, Santi, and Jhon Arias ON TOP of James and Quintero. It's just too many dudes for 1 match.

I hope we don’t see Barrios and Lerma at the same time. Want to give these new faces some real minutes.

21 players for a single game call up…

Happy to see Duran Duran and Carrascal back.

James and Falcao will likely start the game bc of who they are…

JFQ - him and carrascal together would be a fun experiment.

Bummed I miss this game by one day. I fly to Florida the following morning for the week

I don't want Ospina to start; why are we NOT calling up younger GKs to challenge and succeed him?
