If the loses weren't so bad they could get away with keeping him, but as humiliating as that was the FCF was gonna get their heads called for if they didn't move on him.

    Chile needs to fire Rueda

Or he should resign now that the Colombia job is open since he is on the hot seat.

“Hay grupos enfrentados al interior de la Selección Colombia; hubo episodios cuyos protagonistas alcanzaron a irse a las manos... Hubo un jugador que apercolló a otro; ambos jugadores, de nivel internacional. Sucedió en esta fecha doble. El hecho está confirmado, pero no los protagonistas”.
He knows they play in the exterior, but doesn't know who...

This sounds like a lot of second hand nonsense to me.

And this boiled over from Ospina getting the armband when he's worn it several times before?

Damn this is not good, this is definitely tied to frustration losing back to back but the guys needs to squash this and call each other to forgive. We don't need this drama.

After the amount of nonsense they were printing about Pekerman before he left, I believe next to nothing the press says about what goes on behind the scenes. But let's break this down:

At no point does he say that fight happened during half time, as has been "reported." He said it happened during this international break.

Frankly, there's nothing that crazy about a fight breaking out over the course of a week when a bunch of guys are stuck in a hotel together. Doesn't point to any larger problem.

Then, this critique on James--from a different source, mind you: "El tema va más por el lado de 'como vos sos el consentido del técnico, no te tocará, y a todos sí nos mueven de nuestra posición." James had been playing as Colombia's 10 since 2014, without fail. He was the FIRST person Quieroz moved out of position.

And there's only been 4 players who are playing out of position: Cuadrado--who, himself, has mentioned various times how he's proud of being able to play wherever he's put--Yario--who's been injured for months--Cardona--who's being used as a super sub--and Morelos, who frankly has done nothing to really have any voice on the team anyways.

You know what all this sounds like to me? A journalist who's trying to make a critique of the team but projecting this onto the players to make it sound more legitimate.

Lerma seems like a tough dude and all...but Duvan would murder him, honestly

I give credit to anyone who has the balls to think stepping to Duvan is a good idea.

I don't know what's taking so long firing CQ.

Honestly I'm not too concerned about a fight at half time, we were in the middle of almost our worst week of WCQ with a very talented squad and players being pissed and tensions being high is not the worst thing in the world. Players just rolling over is almost worse. I don't think this group of players is lost by any means, we seem to have fighters and before this week even if we were behind we always seemed to fight to claw back into games and never gave up. The players stunk, but clearly the tactics and motivation is a problem here.

yeah, i agree....the ones that have played football know that after or during a bad match, always are recriminations between team mates....unless you dont care or dont have a competitive spirit......

they are guys between 20 and 35.....not nuns

Yeah its like a family, you need a certain level of familiarity to fight for each other and care enough to go at it with each other. Apathy or just talking shit and forming small groups that are divided is the worst case scenario, we are at a low point and there is lots of time to turn it around lets hope that we get a new coach who is up to the job.

Every team has fighting, what matter is how they reconcile after.
