Would have liked at least one more but gettinf a clean sheet for the first time in a while feels like another goal.

 

Yeah Cordoba isn't so important or crucial that we should be saving a spot if he's not fit at this point. It sucks but take Viveros or Borre. I don't love Borre and he has limitations going forward but if we are defending a lead and need someone to defend from the front and do a job he's very good in that roll and is comfortable, you need 3 forwards for a World Cup because if not then Diaz is probably the 3rd striker and moving our best player out of his normal roll without prep isn't great.

 

MVP Arias. So happy that our winger opposite of Luchi shows that he can carry his weight and make a difference.

 

Really no complaints on this game other than the decision to bring in ditta to this final squad.

instead of Quintero and Carrascal feel we would have e won 7-0

 

J.Arias seemed to play more on the left today. Not sure if that's typical for him. Puerta and James were on the right today.

Then for whatever reason S.Arias looks more active than Munoz with the NT. I don't understand this.

Carrascal, I don't know man. He didn't look that good today. His passes weren't good. His shot on goal at the end was ok. Other than that, I kind of agree with you guys, annoying player.

Arias plays better with James than Muñoz

 

Idk man Carrascal has never done anything for us Yasser and Deossa probably better with much better future and can play multiple positions would have rather seen them. Especially considering that Lorenzo will only play quintero in specific scenarios or minutes. It's the planning that annoys me, he's done this multiple times not thought through what happens going deeper into scenarios you might need and bringing guys who aren't tested or very good or someone not fit or injured like Cordoba. James easily could get injured and Quintero won't start and Carrascal is ass, would rather Arias move into the 10 and we have more wide players, but we only have 3 real wide players which idk Yaser even on less minutes could fill both roles and you could start him vs Quintero.

 

I argue that Cucho did create that one chance for Carrascal. Not claiming he should start but Cucho deserves credit for not being selfless. Damn shame he couldn't make an impact in these friendliess but I am happy he played.

Also, Vargas did get a clean sheet; maybe another point for him since we haven't had one of those in a good while.

 

I was about to say the same thing; the stress Uribe gave us not making golden chances that we desperately needed to count...

By their standards Diaz and James had below average games. Not really bad games per se but they just looked off their game.

The good news is that good teams find ways to win when their super star players are off. JArias is playing very well and has scored three goals in our last four matches. Before March I thought his stock was going way down but heading into the tournament his stock is rising about as high as it has ever been. Great for him and for our chances going forward.
