Jesus why did no one make a thread yet?

Anyway, our rematch with our little brothers who gave us our most humiliating defeat in recent memory. Form wise they lost to Brazil (naturally) in Brazil while shockingly losing to Peru at home. Safe to say that they're out of it right now.

I am very confident considering that we have a coach that isn't retarded and actually understands when to fix his mistakes almost immediately. Especially with a few players not being listed in this Copa America with how well he managed us in the recent qualifiers that we had.

My only concern is how our in-form strikers Muriel and Zapata seemingly are struggling nerve-wise with they both wasted such golden chances in our match against Argentina.

A win against them would be very possible if the confidence and mentality of our players are in the levels that they're supposed to be in.

It will be so interesting to see what Rueda does.
If I were him I would sit Diaz for Campaz and sit Duvan for Borja. Borja for sure should start after playing pretty well the last couple games as a sub.
Midfield I would put Barrios and Cuellar.
Back line I would start pretty much the same players except Yairo instead of Tesillo just to see what he can do.

    So something like:

    ----------------------------Ospina-----------------------------

    ----Medina--------Mina-------Davinson-------Yairo

    ---------------Barrios----------------Cuellar--------
    -------------------------Cardona?-----------------------

    ------Campaz---------Borja--------------------Muriel

I am not worried about the Atalanta guys. They are pros and will start to score, it always takes a minute for the form to translate and folks to feel comfortable even with Falcao it took a minute.

But this match with Ecuador is important psychologically for the whole team. We need to have a solid performance to wipe away the concern on our last meeting.

Also, random, the new Ecuador jerseys are very impressive, good for them

I wouldn't sit C4 and I'd start Duvan. Borja has done great running at tired legs. Duvan despite not scoring played well in the past two and he adds a different dimension with the physicality.

Yes , that is the main reason I have a question mark for Cardona.
Cuadrado could probably start but he played a LONG Juve season and 90 minutes in both Qualifiers. I'd personally give him a rest and make him a super sub but I am not going to argue against him starting.

Borja to me deserves to start though but would not be surprised if he keeps that sub role you like.

Defensively, they are more like 4 Davidsons. Fast, strong but make poor decisions. I just want our boys to be fully FOCUSED from the get-go. Argentina scored in the 1st 10. By minute 40 of WCQ, Ecuador had scored 4 on us. That's poor and unacceptable at this level. Personally I would sit Davidson as he's been really shaky. Rueda won't sit him but I feel he needs to feel some pressure for the position.

I just figured out that "Davinson" probably means "Davidson" in colombian speak.

    I love that lineup.

I would have rested Cuadrado but hey, he is our best player. I will just pray that he does not get too drained or injured.

Munoz, your goal is to build that stamina. Please last two minutes. LOL!

    Too soon?

I dig the lineup. Let's see how deep our squad really is.

Very glad Munoz is getting his starting debut, and I'd like to see if Yairo can handle defensive responsibilities at this level.

Hopefully we go into the 2nd half with a lead so we can hand Campaz and possibly even Cuesta debuts.

no, Munoz is a top player. I think he's worth the risk. im thinking Borre would play a bit behind Borja
