He called up 1 goddamn striker and that striker is abysmal.

I saw the 2nd half. Brazil was meh. We had most of the control of the game and several scoring opportunities. We must've had close to 10 corners. But there's no presence up front.

Meanwhile, Oscar Perea scored a couple gols at 9 in the last friendly, but he's not playing him. Tomas Angel was our best striker in the last WC, and he decided not to call him again, just like he did in the previous Sudamericano.

Cardenas is sabotaging his own team, and he isn't even aware of it. Perfect fit for the Fed, if you think about it.

It just makes me so angry we have the talent but an awful federation that just hires the worst. Coaches. He lost most of the pre tournament games he managed yet he was still given the chance to coach here

not only does this fk the career of this kids. Then they have awful agents telling them hey go to the mls or Mexico or the most random teams in Argentina or Brazil

With Brazil's 2-1 win over Ecuador we are officially eliminated. Well I can't even sarcastically say that it was fun.

    Until the next Olympics.

This guy Cardenas is so bad he makes piscis Restrepo look like Guardiola . This was probably the worst performance with a team with such talent and we played like Suriname .
It’s a shame man , that crooked president of the fed should actually worry this time around . Bunch of snakes

    Cardenas sucks.

I am hearing rumors that the Fed may appoint Lucas González from America in control of the Youth teams but I am not holding my breath on that one.

Guys, Bolivia scored...Bolivia scored first. I want you guys to process that if it's even possible.

If this doesn't get him fired I genuinely don't know what will.

Haha all these guys start for their clubs all the mls ones went for a few million. The team should be doing way way better than this.

I think the old America de Cali coach will be given this team. This is what I was afraid of tho. This team did so bad in every friendly and never called up a striker. We fking almost tied Dominican Republic

So would this be the worst ever qualifying campaign that we ever had? Like not one single goal scored, so many conceded in this group, and Bolivia may score even more.

    It's finally over.

I genuinely believe that this qualifying campaign is not only our worst ever attempt for the olympics but also one of the most embrassing things to happen to Colombian football in recent memory.

Looking back the Roster was pretty good it's just a real real bad coach. The federation should have the SNT coach pick his U20, U17 coaches. We need to have a plan in place for when Lorenzo(unless his wife/kids are Colombian I don't see how he can pass up the chance to coach his NT) leaves. Scaloni leaves Argentina and they have their replacement. I dont think Luis Perea is that guy to make the step up.

Sucks this won't be at the Olympics. Qualifying tho only a RB/GK are really the trouble points

GK - Mier (24 over the age but this was his shot would be 1 of the over 23 players)
CB - Mosquera (villareal on CA roster but won't play)
CB - Mantilla (was on the U-23 roster )
    LB - Cabal (Hellas Verona)
RB - Mosquera (MLS was on the U-23 roster)
CM - Nelson Palacio (MLS was on the U-23 roster)
    CM - Puerta/John Solis
RM - Gomez (MLS was on the U-23 roster) - really like this player
LM - Oscar Cortes (was on the U-23 roster)
#10 - Asprilla (20 would take him out of Copa America roster for this)
#9 - Duran (would take him out of Copa America roster for this)

now we could bring over 3 over 23 players. I only using 1 for my starting 11.

For qualifying not sure who could be the Gk we took
    1. Guerra from MLS
    2. Marquinez from Nacional hopefully he does go abroad think Osorio wants him

    Other gks
    1. Alejandro Rodriguez - Dep Cali - Lorenzo called him never seen him play tho

Would have taken a GK, CB and Forward
    1. Mier is the clear choice unless we went with Ospina tho to me it was more giving these dudes a shot and not so much winning both Copa America/ Olympic gold
    2. #9 Borja/Cassiera or for nostolgia el FKING Tigre Falcao
    3. CB - Mina/Cuesta/Sanchez - who ever is 4th choice.
