Cardona going to an Asian Country to play a soccer tournament.

Meh Cardona can be a knucklehead some times, but i think he learned his lesson.

More Tongue-in-cheek than a true concern.
I have always loved Cardona's game going back to his Sub17 days but he has had so many issues that has kept him out of way too many tournaments.
Maybe giving him a Senior Leadership role could help him mature a bit but it could backfire too. Let's see how it all plays out.

Who ever gets called should be part of the SNT plans.

also depends on Falcaos form. If this is a thanks for everything. Falcao but you suck and this is the last time you get to wear yellow. Prefer it be in a friendly.

the Olympics is a big deal and it would be incredible to win a Medal here. Bring the best U23 we can get and then the best 3 players who didn’t make the copa America squad but can make a big difference

U23 plus players such as Loaiza, Cardona, and Morelos. Hopefully the last two take show maturity to potentially be called up to the senior team.

Falcao would provide necessary leadership and, ideally, finishing to a squad that'll be lacking in both. It'll be his last shot at silverware for us. If he's in form, let him go. He'll probably volunteer.

I highly doubt a single guy who plays any minutes at Copa America will go to the Olympics. So, I wouldn't count on Diaz nor Lucumi.

Really, though, we're getting far ahead of ourselves here. The preolimpico is going to be brutal...

I like that idea... The Copa América ends a about a week before hand so technically a player can play both.

    I just hope they qualify.

I hope no one gets hurt beforehand and maybe even see Julian Quiñiones and Cucho healthy... How many over 23s can go 3 or 2?

Most Club teams would never allow their players to play in both. It is one or the other.
And more than likely Clubs will say no to the Olympics since they are not obligated by FIFA to send players.

Shocked Reyes called up the kid in Brighton after the whole situation with Poveda. He'll probably cite the fact that he hasn't accepted a callup to English youth teams as his defense. And the logical counter point should be that, unlike Poveda, the guy's probably never been offered one...

I want to see more of this Agudelo kid and Benedetti could use the minutes. Sandoval is in good form.

As we've discussed, most of these guys won't play in the preolimpico...but this is a pretty strong roster that could put up a good showing.

haha why call him? When he hated on the Man City kid and the Inter one

Benedetti !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super happy. Acuesta didn't get called because his team won't let him come or because he was bad last round?

Has Cassiera played at all in Portugal or score a goal? If not why is he on the team

A lot of foreign based players

MLS is beginning their playoffs soon.

Mateo has played very little, but he was decent in the last friendlies.

    It is a good defense.
They would need Poveda to do some paperwork to switch allegiances which means he would never be able to play for England again. I am not sure the kid is willing to do that and it is not a short process.

I think Salcedo is the better prospect of the two that Reyes pissed off

has been called to a Italy mini camp and has played in 1st divison

Other way around with Salcedo. Reyes was making an effort and then the kid ghosted him.

Both are talented but extremely raw. I wouldn't be surprised if neither pans out all.

There's no way that this country doesn't have a better U-23 player than el Indio Ramirez. The guy is way too overrated, don't understand how he is still getting called.

Not a big fan of Vera but other than that not bad. And I will give him a chance at this level.

How good is the keeper Ruiz? I have not seen much about him.
