Was Benedetti not on the bench?

Glad to hear Sandoval scored. The main thing our last sub 20 needed was a consistent scorer. He's killing it right now for Junior, and if he keeps it up for the season I have legit hope for the preolimpico.

I was thinking the same thing.
Peru had a couple of chances and just did not have good shots on target or cold blood.

Didn't see none of these matches, but according the lineup, I actually thought we would play better...Anyway, when the time will come, I hope Reyes will put a much better team since Colombia has tons of talents U-23 and with all due respect, players like el Indio don't have room there.

This generation has really been shining the past couple weeks. Really, the team would be stacked. Had there not been a CA next summer, and if we were to qualify, we'd be able to field this:

    -------------------Suarez
    Diaz Benedetti/Agudelo Sinisterra
    ----------Atuesta Alzate/Alvarado
    Fuentes Lucumi Cuesta Solano
    -------------------Mier

That's a gold medal contender right there.

Of course, I doubt guys like Diaz and Lucumi will play two back-to-back tournaments, so they're pretty much out. It appears Sinisterra has made the team, too. And Zaragoza appears to have no intention of lending Suarez. A more likely squad for the Olympics might be:

    ----------------Sandoval
    Angulo Benedetti Carrascal
    -----------Atuesta Alzate
    Fuentes Cuesta Reyes Solano
    ------------------Mier

Keep in mind that guys like Cucho, Julian Quinones, Kevin Balanta, Alvarado, Nico Hernandez, Paz, and Vera are all viable players.

Apparently Brighton has given Alzate the greenlight to play in the preolimpico. Ideally, even though Jesurum has said we can't call foreign-based players, Atuesta and Angulo can make it as they'll be in offseason.

The future looks bright! Lots of guys who are well placed over the next few years to really push the NT. We probably are going to have over this cycle the best depth we've ever had for the NT with guys hitting their peak along with a solid group of guys who are just starting to really take off and could be really good in a few years. 2022 if we can do things right we have an opportunity challenge for the World Cup.

Where's Ivan Angulo? Andres Amaya? Deiber Caicedo I'm guessing because of the cuadrangulares? But then again, Reyes and el Indio were invited. Nicolas Hernandez also deserves to be here. Jorman Campuzano can contribute. Colombia has so many talented players.

Amaya is a wonderful player, the problem is that he must leave Huila. In the NT it'll be another story. You are right regarding Campuzano, for some reason I thought he is younger.

Just as I thought Reyes wants Cuesta for the Sub 23.

Glad to see Carbonero. That guy is very speedy and can add that dimension to this squad on the wings.

So far I like Agudelo and hope he continues to improve.

Cuesta for the U-23's makes sense, because if that wasn't the case he should be getting strong consideration for being the backup with Lucemi, especially since they play together at club now and will have lots of time to gel.
