Conmebol officially cancelled the Sudamericanos for the sub 17 and sub 20.

Lame. At full power, this is a talented generation.

    No U-20 or U-17 tournaments until 2023.

Conmebol just cancelled it because they don't generate enough money to justify the logistic effort to do them.

The sad thing is that a lot of players won't get the exposure to go abroad. especially now that the Premier League might be a bit more lax and easy to access, I could see somewhere between 5 and 10 players being bought each tournament by euro clubs.

For the 2023 tournament we'll have a good U-20 team. Carlos Ocoro, Luis Vasquez, Hollman Mccormick, Miguel Monsalve, Sebastian Girado, Ricardo Caraballo, Deivi Barrios, Daniel Pedrozo. Great potential there.

I didn't see Yaser or Duran on the call up. I guess the league takes priority. I want them to go getting experience in yellow though.

Como nadie montó la convocatoria para el torneo aca la dejo:

ÓBER ALMANZA SEHUANES Albacete Balompié (España)

LUIS MIGUEL ANGULO SEVILLANO Alianza Petrolera F.C.

JAVIER MATEO ORTIZ MORALES América de Cali

GIAN FRANCO CABEZAS RODRÍGUEZ Deportivo Cali

DANIEL ANDRÉS LUNA GARCÍA Deportivo Cali

JOSÉ DANIEL MULATO PALACIOS Deportivo Cali

JUAN JOSÉ MINA GONZÁLEZ Deportivo Cali

    TOMÁS ÁNGEL GUTIÉRREZ Atlético Nacional

LUIS MIGUEL MARQUINES PRECIADO Atlético Nacional

    EDIER OCAMPO VIDAL Atlético Nacional

SAMUEL DAVID ASPRILLA GALLEGO Millonarios F.C.

JHON JÁIDER VÉLEZ CAREY Barranquilla Fútbol Club

CARLOS CANTILLO VILLALOBOS Barranquilla Fútbol Club

GUSTAVO ADOLFO PUERTA MOLANO Bogotá Fútbol Club

    ALEXIS CASTILLO MANYOMA Cortuluá

    SANTIAGO CAMILO VERGARA PÁJARO Cortuluá

    JOSÉ DANIEL GARCÍA ARAGÓN Cortuluá

JUAN DIEGO CASTILLO REYES Fortaleza Fútbol Club

ISAAC ZULETA RENDÓN Getafe Club de Fútbol (España)

DANIEL PEDROZO MARTÍNEZ Real Cartagena F.C.

DEIVI BARRIOS VILLADIEGO Real Cartagena F.C.

SEBASTIÁN DAVID GIRADO Real Cartagena F.C.

I don't think it will be very often. It will depend mainly on how well they perform in their new clubs and how important they become for them.

I think that Yaser must be loaned to a team in Italy and be allowed to get used to european football, there he'll probably learn a lot more of the tactical game because technically he excels. Duran depends mostly on how well he does in Chicago next year, Physically and technically he is miles above kids of his same age and given minutes and time he'll do very good things there.

I don't agree. Sure, MLS isn't the best place to develop a player, but as long as he shows results and becomes one of the best forwards in MLS with his innate talent all eyes will be on him, and teams from everywhere will be watching him. Lately MLS has sold players to several european teams, and I'm sure that with his style of play a lot will be interested.

Just not a good place for a young player to improve. The quality of football is so low that a true prospect can perform without really being challenged to improve.

I wouldn’t mind a Falcao or James going to MLS because they are done growing as players, but young prospects I’d prefer a different destination

MLS sells Americans for media attention….

foreign players other than the dude from Paraguay don’t get bought. Plus they want insane transfer fees. Like Boca junior star transfer fees
