Don't know how heavy pride will be considering that we beat a weak France in the U20 world cup last month for 3rd place.

don't even do that well enough considering the population.... for those who go asians don't smash... look at their numbers. Fine India/China are massive but tiny places have way way more people per the size of the location than we do

It is why I have patience for guys like Duran and Neyser and give them grace when they misbehave.
They usually put good shots on target and know how to finish in big moments. ( More often than most Colombians do that is. )

As for this team they are who I thought they were. Some good individuals but not a great team unit.

Great teams find a way to grit out points and advance.
These guys seemed lost and did not seem to work collaboratively.

Called it. With how poor of a team they were in a group stage I assumed that we would get knocked out for lack of teamwork.

You guys repeat things that don’t actually happen

    IMG_7142.png

Colombia played well, “as a team”

they just can’t finish to save their lives which seems to be the problem at every level.
Good movement, good passing, then shot to the stands

that has nothing to do with teamwork

    just Colombians doing Colombian things

Team dynamic is a layered thing. A lot of it is systematic. A lot of it is lack of adjustments which is on the manager.
A lot of it is not knowing what to do in pressure situations and not knowing how to pick up your teammate when things break down.

This team was very fortunate that they hosted the Sudamericano cause from what I saw back then until now I do not believe they would have qualified in another South American country.
