I have a ticket for the game in Samara June 28 between Colombia and Senegal. Any Colombia fans (or Senegal fans!) who plan to go to this game, please share info on where people are staying, pregame gatherings, etc. There's probably a separate thread about Samara generally, but I'll only be there for this game and am interested in things going on on the 27th, 28th, and 29th. My fiancee is Colombian, so I spend time regularly in Medellin, and would love to meet up with some Colombianos. I had a great time with the Colombian fans in Rio, both before the WC started in 2014 and at the R-16 match vs. Uruguay in the Maracana, and would love to get together with fans from my home away from home.
At this stage not seeing any Colombian games, would love to meet up with some if possible. Born in Bogota, but adopted and been living in Australia for all my life more or less.
If you're not already in the WhatsApp giant group of Colombian fans going to Russia - send FlipMode2000 your phone number and he'll add you. There is a huge number of Australian-based Colombians in the group, and I think they have their own sub-group.
Any tips on where to stay in Samara; we have tickets for the Colombia - Senegal game but virtually nowhere to stay!
Somehow my wife stroked some Colombian luck and got a room in the city not too far from the stadium for a very reasonable price. I guess someone canceled. We are officially set for the trip. Anybody going to the boat party?
Anybody going to the boat party?[/QUOTE] Hey mate! I believe there are 2 parties. One on the 27th and one the 28th. I've booked 3 spots for the 28th, right after the game. Party goes from 11pm-3am. Did everything with Olga, she organises transport/tours in Samara. I've been in touch with since last year and seems very professional. I paid her through paypal.
I'm also booked for the boat party - thanks for the info, Olga was very helpful to work with! But I'm doing the boat the day before the game, and will be on the Colombiano bus to Moscow departing at midnight after the game. I'm traveling with friends through Europe and other parts of Russia, but making a special trip to this game since Colombia is my home away from home and I want to be sure to cheer on my Cafeteros! So I'm traveling solo to Samara on the 26th; looking for a place to stay on the 26th and 27th if anyone has an extra bedroom they want to split costs on, let me know. Thanks!
Damn I'm down for a boat party. Anybody have any info on it? Alcohol, cost, etc.? In the meanwhile, Waiting to hear back from Olga
Hmm serve aguardiente doubt it, but that does not mean that they wont be any, lots of us are taking a bottle or two
If you gather a football team of 20-30 fans and a women's support group, we will be able to organize for you a friendly match between the fans on the football fields of the local club Krylya Sovetov
