We knew that we was going to go to Toronto, but was denied entry. Now, according to Mo he's still going to end up in MLS. I wonder which teams would want him?

Funny that Johnston acts offended by the fact that someone else will get him, given the way he acted in the Conor Casey fiasco.

I was going to say the same thing. You talk to Clavijo about Casey and he says he did all of the leg work to bring him to MLS. He got him in the end, but Mo was able to extort the allocation and whatever else out of the Rapids. It's part of the game under the current league rules.

I wonder if the Leafs, Sens, Habs, Canucks or Oilers have this issue with getting Euro hockey players signed.

It was probably some sort of minor error, like Samuels not having his passport in order. I believe he's married to a Brit so there's no issues really, unless he was on some sort of no fly list.

This kind of stuff never happens with hockey players.

However this is some contention between the NHL and Russian Federation right now about player transfer fees as Russia is not signed on with the IIHF's transfer deal with the NHL. And that isnt a 'Canadian immigration' issue. It affects every NHL team. Its and NHL-IIHF issue.

This kind of thing has never happens with hockey players.

Well, if it was a minor error, you'd think it'd be in the process of being fixed, and thus there wouldn't be an article with this tone/info.

And you claimed it NEVER happens.

So between your hyperbole of "never" and Andy's "All the time" lies the truth...

Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it doesn't. Let's all chill.

Actually it does. I spent five seconds with one quick google and got that as the first link. Kris Draper missed playing in the AHL during the lockout because of Visa problems.

It does happen a lot more often than "never"
