I think the CCV Memorial Trophy is most appropriate. He made at least 17 appearances on an EPL bench for Tottenham and never sniffed the field.
Wouldn't have mattered, since the play was whistled dead. He wasn't terribly involved otherwise, though he showed some serious speed trying to chase a ball down.
Congrats on the promotion Cole. Not a lot of killer attacking names on the bench for BVB right now. Next game is a Pokal clash mid-week against Wolfsburg. First start? Not as likely since it isn't a scrub 3rd division team like many BL1 Teams get in the 2nd round. But the front 6 for BVB have a lot of miles given it is only late October. BL, CL, Pokal.... Maybe it is time? <fingers-crossed>

They’re priming him. He’s going to play this year. He’s an exciting player to watch. He’ll continue to get opportunities.

Extra time... so '30 more first team minutes for Campbell... which is awesome for him. He's playing RW. Getting up and down the pitch with BVB mostly on the back foot. He hasn't really gotten on the ball yet.
I only caught added time, but there were a few times where he very much looked like a kid going up against adults while defending.
Announcer talking about an injury crisis at BVB and some fixture congestion ahead so maybe Campbell starts to get some serious burn here in the next few weeks.
Campbell drives well but gives the ball away poorly at the end of the run which leads to a counter where Wolfsburg hit the crossbar... flash of something but then quite poor unfortunately.
dribbes up the sideline from the corner flag well beating a couple men and then is fouled and almost draws a second yellow on the Wolfsburg captain so that was interesting.
Campbell almost gives up a PK ... lots of appeals but the referee says not... could have been ugly for Campbell there
"Hairy moment for the young American". Clatters over legs. May have been a penalty. In the few minutes I've watched, he's been reactive instead of anticipatory, & clumsily chased players. That potential penalty was an extreme example.
Campbell dribbling at the corner of the penalty area and cuts in on his left from the edge of the box and forces a relatively comfortable save from the GK who catches basket style
"You got to like that from the youngster". A better moment. He shows some aggression off the dribble, cuts in on his left, & fires, but right at the keeper.
he looks like he has a lot of potential, but he's not ready... maybe he needs more physical development, maybe he just needs time to acclimate, but he's playing like a boy among men.
I’ve been watching since the 83rd minute. He has nice athleticism and skill, but the game is moving a bit too quickly for him. That’s not a reason for concern, given his age, but it seems like a loan to a lower level like the 2.Bundesliga would do him well.
Promising moment where Campbell is played well into the box with a line breaking ball and tries to take on the defender 1vs1 but the defender is taking his left foot away and Campbell tries and force that way anyway
He's showing some decent speed & good decision to shoot into that gap, but he's confused to predictable when he gets the ball. There he's fixated on using his left foot the whole way.
I'm pretty impressed. Not like Pulisic's debut where I immediately saw the electric nature of the kid but you can tell there's a player there who has the physical qualities necessary to succeed at this level. It may take a half dozen games or so for him to acclimate. This is one of the biggest jumps in sport. From U19 to BVB first team/Bundesliga/CL/Pokal against BL competition.
